The only thing that could possibly be improved is having instant payment options. The estimates are clear and very readable which allows everyone involved to understand exactly what is being done and what the charges are. Pros It's very easy to use, infinitely customizable, and reasonably priced. The estimates we produce look professional and are clear to our clients and insurance adjusters alike. Cons Honestly, so far, I have not really seen any negatives about Joist. We are very happy with the product and foresee our company using it exclusively moving forwards. Switched from [Xactimate](https://www.capterra.com/p/214125/Xactimate/) Xactimate locks us in to set pricing and it's very difficult to deviate from the pricing. Joist allows us to set our own prices and argue for that pricing without having to justify the difference from Xactimate pricing. Growing into a bigger company we needed more, like: calendar, more accounts (so installers will see their schedule) Price is good. Customer support is good too. Cons Not enough options like project managing, customer portal, messaging, no calendar, no integrations with marketing suite. Its good it saves previous work but when every job consists of different details it inputs too much info not related or needing to be switched and updated. It also seems to add updates regularly that are beneficial to the software functioning. Pros The ability to send both estimates and invoices. The ease of entering info and posting payments was great. Cons The search capabilities are limited. It would be very beneficial to be able to search by address rather than name and also when searching by name and going back you have to enter the name again it does not keep the search you were working on.
