Pros I love everything about EDX - The Professional Certifications, Bachelor's degree program, Micromasters etc. There are choices to make for all fields. EDX does not limit a person. If you cannot afford the larger programs then just take a course. Cons There is nothing really wrong with the platform. I just find it really hard to pay the fees for some of the programs I am interested in. Pros I like that the courses on edX are offered by accredited institutions like big companies like IBM or global universities like Harvard, not just anybody can publish a course on edX. Also, I love that edX contains specializations that consist of sub-courses that take me from the beginner level to the advanced level without needing to switch to another course. Cons I don't love the interface of edX as it is not friendly and doesn't encourage studying. The cost of the certificate is very expensive if I want to obtain it. Also, I face some issues with the subtitles as some of the content doesn't have any subtitles even in English. It saves money and time and creates academic opportunities that wouldn't have been available before Edx. It helps everyone to get better job opportunities and career advancement. Pros Edx Platform has thousands of open courses and certification programs offered by the world's leading universities and research organizations. Edx puts more emphasis on academic degrees and credentials. The platform offers Professional certificates, micro bachelors, micro masters, and full master's degrees, all of which are online at affordable costs with free audit options for the majority of the platform content. The micro master's degree holders can earn academic credit hours that count towards a full master's degree program when they meet the program criteria. Cons I find the user interface of the Edx website and the learning management system need some enhancements, especially the course/lesson navigations, which aren't easy to navigate and are a bit confusing. The course is archived but you don't have access to it if you did not pay for the certification.
