Pros Meta Trader 5 and its brother application Meta Trader 4 are possibly the most used platforms worldwide both for manual trading and using robots (algorithm trading). The software was originally developed based on Linux and is usually distributed free of charge by most trading agents and hedge funds, becoming like the entry-level application for manny daytraders. Cons Being a software usually available free of cost, the support is based on forums and users associations from a great number of countries. Basically, if help is needed it will require many times, extensive searching and reading before a solution is found. When using VPN to achieve better response time and less sleepage of orders, performance is good. Without using VPN, performance may be critical unless the trading agent provides a direct and upgraded communications channel with Meta Trader 5 servers. November 30, 2022 4.0 I have had the best experience on this software. the only thing that is still a problem is those missing indicators. but overall, it is a very good app. Pros The best feature about this software is that I can open multiple charts of different pairs all at once and i can monitor different charts if i dont have multiple screens. Apart from that is the strategy tester that was made available so that people can practice within the app on real markets. They also have a "signals" option where one can choose from thousands of professional traders and copy their trades in a fully automated way. This really helped me as a beginner and made money while still learning... I am a trader so the most reliable software or trading platform I have found in my daily and weekly trading is MetaTrader 5. It helps me a lot in my trading business. Cons The only feature that needs to be consistent with all the computers is the adjustment for take profit and stop loss executions. In a desktop the stop loss and take profit targets can be manually adjusted but the same is not found in the androids and tablets. Hence, when you are not trading using the desktop, and maybe when you are mobile, it is little bit difficult to manually adjust the take profit and stop loss targets.
