We are getting moderate use out of it and overall I’m happy with the tool. Pros Ease of use, ability to clone events, multiple options for people to add the events to their calendars (calendar button and landing page), being able to set reminders, scheduling features and the details I can add to each event. This is something they advertise that their product is capable of, but it's not.We tried multiple times to troubleshoot this ourselves, with our clients and had no success. In fact, even when clients tried to manually adjust the events in their own calendars this failed. We then contacted Addevent and their response was it was a problem with all the major calendars not their product....welp Addevent, if you make a calendar-add product that does not properly function in all the major calendars like google, outlook, apple, etc., then your product is useless.So if you need alerts/reminders to function for the group you share the events with, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. Furthermore after explaining this to them and requesting a refund on the remaining 10months of our 1 yr plan, we were told no, the best they could do would be offer us a credit to use their service (which doesn't work) at a later date. Um no thanks, keep the money and now other consumers can hopefully be aware of their failures before making similar mistakes. We've had some not so good experiences with other vendors offering different products, so when I find a company whose product actually makes my life easier and my job more efficient, it's such a breath of fresh air. I was able to get AddEvent up and running quickly (purchased the subscription and added four events on day one) and it's already enhanced our customer experience. Pros I was able to build several events out on day one. The interface is so easy to use and I was able to figure out almost everything on my own within minutes. We had our committee chair test the use of AddEvent through our event registration process and she was able to add the events to her calendar easily and said she absolutely loved how easy it was. Cons The image size requirements are slightly difficult and require some padding/formatting on the user end, but customer service was quick to respond and we were still able to get multiple events up and running on day one. As a live streaming company, using their calendar tool help our customers add relevant training content to their calendar, and doesn't force us to be dependent on an algorithm to reach our customers and leads. We've seen average live viewership for our workshops jump considerably by a huge percentage since implementing AddEvent! Pros Our customers love being able to add events to their calendar and it improves our attendance for our live events since customers actually book time on their calendar to attend. Made us look more professional Pros I liked the ability to create one-click registration buttons for our webinar series. We were actively trying to improve the UX registration process. Cons The Outlook.com “Add to Calendar” button does not work for external users. Clicking it redirects to the Outlook login page, even when users are already logged in. This appears to be caused by the event being tied to our AddEvent calendar, which Outlook.com does not recognize as a personal calendar for the user. Because of this, external attendees cannot add the event directly to their Outlook.com calendar. A reliable workaround is to use the .ics file download, but we expect the Outlook.com button to work for external users without this extra step. It would be helpful if AddEvent could either: Allow the Outlook.com button to generate a link that adds events to users’ personal calendars, or Clearly indicate when a calendar is restricted to the organization/owner. One click and they can add to the calendar of their choice. When I update events in my AddEvent calendar, the calendars of all subscribers are updated, too. It makes it easier for people to show up in the right time and place, without having to convert for timezones. The calendar display makes it easy to see all events in one place. Cons The events added to my Google calendar with AddEvent were showing as "free" time, and my other calendars were double-booking me. Changing events to "busy" wasn't intuitive; I had to contact support in order to figure out how to do this. Editing events can also be a little cumbersome, involving extra clicks. It sounds trivial, but can be time consuming when updating multiple events. Pros Using the AddEvent feature in an email is an easy and useful option for events. I love that guests can select which calendar app is best for them, and from the back end you can see how many "adds" have been selected. Setting up the AddEvent button was quick to do, and simple to add to an email. This will be a feature I use consistently! Previously, I was limited to using my webinar platform's templated event registration emails, and this prevented me from controlling branding and email cadence. Cons I have no negative feedback for AddEvent at this time. It performed exactly as expected, even giving some nice visual options when embedding the calendar invites into an HTML email in Hubspot. Cons There are so many options on the back end regarding sharing, that it can get a little confusing when viewing at a glance - however, I can also see situations where those options would be helpful.
