We've had some not so good experiences with other vendors offering different products, so when I find a company whose product actually makes my life easier and my job more efficient, it's such a breath of fresh air. I was able to get AddEvent up and running quickly (purchased the subscription and added four events on day one) and it's already enhanced our customer experience. Pros I was able to build several events out on day one. The interface is so easy to use and I was able to figure out almost everything on my own within minutes. We had our committee chair test the use of AddEvent through our event registration process and she was able to add the events to her calendar easily and said she absolutely loved how easy it was. Cons The image size requirements are slightly difficult and require some padding/formatting on the user end, but customer service was quick to respond and we were still able to get multiple events up and running on day one. It’s incredibly intuitive to build events, follow up with attendees, and customize branded assets for our website. We use it for a high-impact initiative that connects our e-commerce experience with live demos and video sales calls, and we’ve seen clear growth in both audience engagement and revenue. Five stars, highly recommended. Pros It’s easy to design exactly what we need, sync seamlessly with calendars, and embed anywhere on our site. The platform has been very well received internally. Cons We had 0 problems with the UI and features. AddEvent's options are simple enough to use and implement, and we appreciated the simplicity. Cons The only thing confusing was setting up a reoccuring event, so that the link and AddEvent link were identical and added to a users calendar for all instances. Just a learning curve really. Using AddEvent will definitely become a must for all the events I plan from now on. It's just one more touch point for potential guests, and a great way to streamline events, ensuring the best possible outcome for attendance. Pros Using the AddEvent feature in an email is an easy and useful option for events. I love that guests can select which calendar app is best for them, and from the back end you can see how many "adds" have been selected. Setting up the AddEvent button was quick to do, and simple to add to an email. This will be a feature I use consistently! Cons While I did find the process to be quick and easy, there may be parts of the set up and execution that are not common sense to some. Made us look more professional Pros I liked the ability to create one-click registration buttons for our webinar series. We were actively trying to improve the UX registration process. Cons The Outlook.com “Add to Calendar” button does not work for external users. Clicking it redirects to the Outlook login page, even when users are already logged in. This appears to be caused by the event being tied to our AddEvent calendar, which Outlook.com does not recognize as a personal calendar for the user. Because of this, external attendees cannot add the event directly to their Outlook.com calendar. A reliable workaround is to use the .ics file download, but we expect the Outlook.com button to work for external users without this extra step. It would be helpful if AddEvent could either: Allow the Outlook.com button to generate a link that adds events to users’ personal calendars, or Clearly indicate when a calendar is restricted to the organization/owner. We are getting moderate use out of it and overall I’m happy with the tool. Pros Ease of use, ability to clone events, multiple options for people to add the events to their calendars (calendar button and landing page), being able to set reminders, scheduling features and the details I can add to each event. Cons The cost is a bit higher than I would like. I understand the value of the product but I do wish there was a slightly lower paid tier.
