Fellowship One Champion Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Fellowship One has been a tremendous asset to the church" March 26, 2015 4.5 Pros Fellowship Tech support is very knowledgeable and very responsive. The report writing team is outstanding in building capable and flexible reports. Cons The email system is too simplistic, particularly in handling unsubscribes. Cons The integration is horrible, getting to anything takes 1000 steps and then you most likely will have to do it again. Nothing is easy or intuitive at all. Review Source DL Dan L. Fellowship One Champion Used the software for: ### "Fellowship One Champion" July 17, 2010 4.0 Fellowship One is the best functional system for large or dynamic churches. It is best used when a church understands what information is important to their ministry, concentrates on that information, and makes the commitment to learning and understanding the system. Pros Fellowship One is a very extensive church management system that allows usage both in and out of the church office. The online giving/event registration have increased efficiency and accuracy with our attendees contributions and sign-ups. Group email has allowed us to significantly increase communications to a large attendee base. The extensive reporting has given us information to understand, target, and communicate with relevant audiences at Bayside. Cons As a very functional system Fellowship One requires a user to understand the parts of the system to be used. Review Source JL Jessica L. System Administrator Used the software for: ### "Web Based Software" August 9, 2010 4.0 As improvements on this software are completed, this becomes more and more a critical element for churches, especially mullti site churches. Pros Fellowship One is very beneficial for multi site churches because it is web based so no matter where we are, we are accessing the same database. As people visit from campus to campus there is always assurance that their information is there. The Contact items piece is great to help keep people from following through the cracks when attending. This information helps the staff keep in touch with visitors and their interests. Recent updates have made the software much more user friendly and more functional Cons Initial use of the software was not as easy as it is now. Media Pastor Used the software for: ### "Couldn't see doing ministry without it" July 1, 2011 4.0 The concept of a church management software was not a new concept for The Ark Church, but a GREAT software was. Now after 14 months of having F1 fully integrated into our churches culture we could not picture doing ministry without it. Pros Fellowship One is built to meet the direct needs of churches and because of that they have a staff that is equipped and educating in the current needs of the Church. The Ark was able to maximize the features and functions because of the eagerness of the staff and the capabilities of the software. Cons There were a couple small features that we loved from our old database that the current version of F1 does not offer. They were not deal breaks but we had to reassess some of our processes to accommodate the lack of those small features. Review Source MP Maria P. Dean of Students Religious Institutions Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Fellowship One - A Bit Clunky" December 3, 2019 3.0 We moved on from FellowshipOne because of the difficulty of understanding the intricacies of how the software works. It has many features, but not many were easy to understand. Pros Fellowship One definitely seemed to have a lot of functions when our organization first started using it. The draw was to see how the software could assimilate in-coming members into other areas of church ministry from one central database. It has very in-depth reports for logistics. Cons It was very difficult to use easily, and the database was very in-depth and connected but didn't seem like enough time was spent working on the user-experience. Only a few "experts" in our church who took easily to the program were able to use it. Review Source JE Jerry E. It is the best way to manage the complexity of a growing church, community and world. Cons Large, powerful and at times a little slow in responding to unique needs but it's worth it. I like having church directory in one spot in case I needed to get in touch with someone. If you have simple needs for the software, this is a great tool. Cons No matter how many times I save the category of giving for my tithes on the app, it will not save it! So frustrating. I'm not sure what other church softwares are capable of, but this one does not do much. Review Source Dany H. There's always a need to start somewhere, so FO gave us started in the Church Database world. Cons Unfortunately our time with FO did not last very long. It was a good alternative to trying to manage things by email or phone. Seems like it was a great solution years ago. Cons Getting the reports we want to print out with the correct information and the correct headings is a nightmare. We almost always have to call support when we want a new report. Used the software for: ### "Large Church Database" December 15, 2016 1.0 I have used many church database systems. This was so large and robust. It was difficult for many of our staff to learn to use. So although it had many features to become difficult to teach everyone how to use it. The customer service was great. They taught us how to keep the database up to date and make sure it was benefiting our church. Their systems and process for starting the new systems were hands down the best. I have used their process to teach other churches how to tackle a new database. Their features are great and very flexible. June 29, 2011 5.0 Overall, we love F1 and would recommend this to any church! Pros F1 has been great for us in regards to a secure database that is easily accessible and has many tools for our needs to be organized and helpful in Leading People to Live for Jesus Christ. Reporting, customer service, and the system overall has been great! Cons The reporting library is great but is quite large so at times it can be confusing trying to decide which report to run. Pastor Used the software for: ### "Not what they represent" September 4, 2014 2.0 Fellowship one has all the bells and whistles, but is difficult to use. If you don't have a full time person who will be your "champion" you probably will be disappointed. As a church of 350 it is hard for volunteers to learn to use. Customer service has been slow, have a problem on Wednesday, it probably won't be solved before Sunday. Reports are frustrating. Good luck finding which of the 3,000 reports you want. Then, once you find one they discontinue it. Runs on Mac but all check in computers has to be PC. Our whole team from top to bottom dislikes it. Review Source BC Brett C. However, we ended up choosing a different company that seemed more innovative and proactive to meeting the needs of our church. Pros F1 as its known in the church world has easy to use features and has a reputation among churches due to its long held experience as a ChMS. Cons Other companies such as Planning Center and Rock RMS have surpassed F1 in many areas and typically come in under their current pricing. Review Source JC Joni C. I was able to sign in to F1 but unable to move around. I submitted a support case request. The only time I've had to do so. My client application specialist, Lisa Morris, responded so quickly I couldn't believe it and resolved the issue right away. Lisa was very nice and professional. My frustration was with no being able to move around in the program. But again, the problem was immediately addressed. Thank you! Review Source TC Todd C.
