We used to send product update emails that had a very low open rate, Beamer changed this overnight, we can now track the engagement via the views of the post and the adoption of new features. Pros Once it's embedded it's super easy to use by any non-technical person. The new Roadmap option is a complete game-changer for us to get quality feedback in near real-time. Cons The text editing tool could do with a few more options although the recent enhancements are good. They need to add reporting to the new Roadmap tool. We do the same with email marketing, dedicated Facebook Group, but Beamer just makes the experience easier. The notifications are waiting each time they login to their website or our training portal. It actually gives us the edge when it comes to providing and exceeding client expectations. Pros I just love this software. Easy to set up. We beam updates directly into our training portal for clients as well as into the dashboard of their websites. Beamer makes it easy to show you look after clients and stack value into the services we provide. Often clients can get complacent and compare you with others - this tool is a godsend in showcasing new features, important updates and is such an easy fluid experience for the user. Pros Beamer is easy to install plugin for a Wordpress site. Once configured, it adds a slideout menu that allows for announcements to your audience. There is a website you can log in to to quickly add new announcements without modifying your website. Very useful tool. Cons Learning to use beamer is not difficult, but you will need to remember to use it consistently to engage your audience and use best practices. However I was very impressed with the product to the point that I wanted to use it for my website. I got lucky I got to own one recently. I was going to upgrade to pro account which allow push notification on the website. (It didn't come with the plan I have). The main Beamer feature is useful but in my opinion it is NOT a MUST HAVE since we can do that on the blog itself. It sure can help increase the engagement but there are some other products that can do that too. I sent email to support and ask them to check my plan (before upgrading to the higher plan they offer and pay monthly) They replied, their message had turned me off and no longer wanting to use their product. I bought Beamer from one of my colleague who is no longer using the software, unfortunately the support said "Be aware that we don't support accounts reselling" I my opinion, this is not the best approach to their users and it it unprofessional business practice. Regardless of where the user comes from, buying directly from them or buy it from someone else who no longer using the software, at the end of the day they are still users and supporting their product. My experience with them has disappointed me very much. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use Beamer if the support is important for you. Pros May help increase the engagement on the website. Cons Their support toward their users. Regardless where the customer comes from whether they bought the product directly from them or they bought from an existing account who no longer using the software. At the end of the day the person who use the software is still supporting their product. Announcements are quick and easy to get out and more importantly they are seen by every single one of our customers. I also want to call out the support team who are incredibly helpful. Being new to the software I've had a few queries over the first few motnhs and their team have been very responsive at responding and solving any issues they have. They are also receptive to any feedback I've had. Pros We use Beamer for both announcing the release of new features to our customers and for obtaining our NPS through the in app widget. The new feature announcer is what Beamer is primarily known for. It's extremely easy to use which makes announcements quick to get out. There's an option to obtain comments or a simple emoji response which can be helpful for quick sentiment to wards a release. The overall UI is very sttractive and easy to style in your companies branding. I use the NPS feature daily. Unlike some other NPS collection apps, we found Beamer was very straightforward to customise in our company branding and install on our website. The dashboard that collects all the scores and text responses is very clean and simple to navigate. It contains all the essential data points you need and can be easily filtered. Cons The feature announcer has everything you need. The only thing I would say is the NPS is currently in Beta and so is missing a few advanced features like workflows. I've been told these are coming and it will take the NPS widget from a 9 to a 10. That being said, I strongly recommend trialling the Beta version as it's already exceptional (and currently free).
