### "It's not perfect, but it's as close as any signage software has gotten"

I have done countless projects using FWi as the foundation for our solutions. No matter what the project required, I was able to get it done with FWi. They have some of the best features available for data integration, content playback, performance, and network management. It's also quick to pick up and use without any training if you're just trying to get content on to some screens quickly. For those looking to do very complex projects, the software is powerful and can do just about anything, but you may need to be somewhat familiar with more advanced technical concepts. No "wizards" found here.

Pros

The way locations, templates and content cascade down the network tree is both familiar and intuitive, but don't let the simplicity fool you: there are powerful features and settings just under the surface if you know where to look that allow you to build almost anything you can think of.

Cons

Accomplishing complex solutions like integrating unique data structures or getting certain behaviors to function properly can involve some trial and error. Documentation for more advanced abilities in the past has been notoriously lacking, although there has been some improvement since they switched to their community portal. The appearance of the CMD software seems a bit antiquated, like old Windows programs.

One of the best things about Poppulo Digital Signage is how easy it makes managing and updating content across multiple screens. Instead of having to update displays manually, you can schedule, target, and automate messages—whether it’s for employees, guests, or customers.

Cons

It can be more expensive than lightweight competitors, which makes it harder to justify for smaller organizations with limited budgets.

Pros

It is very quick and easy to use and keeps our patients up to date on the providers time. Our patients love it too.

Cons

I don't like having to sign in each time. I feel like it wastes time having to login like that each time.

The overall experience with Poppulo Digital Signage is lackluster. We expect so much more from the software, but are limited at every turn. We spend countless hours trying to get content to work when, in most cases, it should be plug-and-play.

Pros

We like to flexibility of the platform and the ability to scale it to our needs with many devices and resolutions. Customer support is good overall; they are attentive and helpful, but not always knowledgeable.

Cons

A huge con for us on this software is the lack of features. There are many times that we go to deploy a sign that looks good in preview mode in Content Manager, but doesn't show properly on the devices. We also have many problems with caching on the sign devices, where we need to redeploy content that should be automatically pulled from the network location. Also, we should be able to use the store to find widgets and apps to use on our signs, but those are very limited.

My overall experiance with Poppulo has been incredibly positive! I love my sales rep \[sensitive content hidden\] as she is always there to support my needs to grow the business. My CEM Geoff is a subject matter expert who helps drive our success on a regular basis.

Pros

Poppulo has made our business as smooth as possible for a busy marketing team struggling to keep folks updated with limited time. The programs we have access to allow us to manage screens from anywhere in the world while still having support when things do not go as planned.

Cons

My only area that I would express any issues with poppulo would be in my lack of knowledge with their app based program. Fortunately, my CEM makes it as easy as possible to have support for times when this program is needed.

I believe that this service could have alot more to offer. The programable slides could use some work as well as some updated / new version to keep things fresh and interesting.

Pros

Ease of Use. This system is very intuitive and easy to teach to many people. We are using this sytem accross multiple campuses.

Cons

There is a tendency for the connectivity to drop. Though I question if this is due to our tech being out of date.

### "Dynamic Signage"

We have numerous signage that current special menu items and currently serving information. We also have several screens integrated with an event management solution.

Pros

I have been using for over 9 years, It is a mature platform that supports live data blended with static images in a easy and reliable way.

Cons

Being in it for so long some of the old tooling was hard to migrate away from but overall the future is looking very good.

### "Great Piece of Software....If You're Like Everyone Else"

It started out great with promises of "you can do anything" and for the first year, that was true. We got a lot of unique builds and customized signage needs taken care of with superior customer service. Over the years, however, because we're the only client of theirs that utilizes our unique build, we've been ignored for other clients who aren't as complicated and are willing to pay for help. We are given promise upon promise with very lackluster results.

Pros

It gets the job done for dynamic signage that most competitors can't perform (i.e. live data, IPTV, motion graphics, etc.)

Cons

If you are in need of something custom and unique, you are put on the backburner while other customers who are more "standard" are taken care of (i.e. we've been asking and were promised a Unified Player for years.....they usurped development of it for a Cloud based storage system, which, while useful, ignores any of our needs that were promised to us).

### "Four Winds V5.X.X"

Overall I think Four Winds is the best choice of software for my companies needs. I would not suggest Four Winds to a small company as it is a steep price to get started. It does allow you the most options possible out of all of the signage software's I have worked with in regards to customization. I am very happy in all with the software and look to use it greatly in the future.

\-Functionality -Scalability -Great for large companies to manage multiple locations -Very Customizable -Almost all systems are able to be integrated into the Four Winds Software

Cons

\-Process intensive software on the players -Thick Client for administrators (CMD) -Web version does not have 100% functionality of Thick Client at this time -

FWI is customer concentric. They almost always make you feel like you are their only customer. At time support can be slow and they we struggle with a challenge a little too long before sending it up the escalation path

Pros

Content Manager is easy to you and intuitive. It is a great place to build a sandbox and test different themes. It is fully configurable and can be fine tuned to address any eventuality

Cons

In the content manager, the initial design is cumbersome since you have to enter and exit the template to see the end result.

Overall, Humam was very helpful and I frequently would wait until he was available to help me!

Pros

Software is fairly easy to use with no prior knowledge and the support crew is easy to contact and answer questions as needed. And didn't mind when called about the same issue multiple times.

Cons

Sometimes I'd have to running to look for accessories to use when needed, which wasn't a big deal but I felt bad for having to keep the support team on the line while doing so.

We utilize the software for citizen engagement. It is a great way to reach citizens that do not utilize social media/website. I have had outstanding service with the FWI team since I started in this position in our organization. The staff that initially set up the software are no longer with the organization, so I've greatly appreciated the patience and assistance of FWI staff.

This software allows our local government an additional avenue to reach our citizens who do not utilize social media via our government channel.

Cons

I think that the Con lies with my own lack of tech skills and lack of knowledge about the software.

Fanatic ! From site inspection to install and setup. Support is quick to respond. I had a player stop working. I had a replacement with 24 hours of calling it in.

Pros

I'm an IT manager. I can easily check if a player is up and running and deploy updates as needed.

Nothing from an IT perspective. It works well.

The software interface can be tough to manage at times. Fortunately their customer service is helpful and they are big enough that solutions to problems can be found with a Google search.

The customer support and training opportunities are wonderful. I have used this signage option for months now and it is a hit with out customers.

Pros

The customer support is top of the line. Poppulo is easy to use, the screen management is easy to manuever back and forth between the library and device. It has customizable options and it serves us well for the front desk at our company. Thank you for this great tool.

Cons

There isn't anything I didn't like. I would like to have had a how to set up and manuever guide when I first got started but I was able to call customer service and they walked me through how to use the system.

Pros

I love working with Poppulo. It was easy to learn and the displays create a lot of extra attention in our hallways. I really like how easy it is to manage and update content, and I also enjoy that there are regular classes to learn more about the software.

Cons

I feel like it's difficult to understand the full capabilities without some one-on-one instruction. The classes give me a lot, but I feel like it would be more helpful to me to see what another similar institution has done with Poppulo and how we can implement similar things.

### "Easy solution for end users"

Tickets are addressed in a timely manner. The Content player app is reliable and any time we've had issues, they've been resolved quickly.

Pros

Populo makes it easy to manage devices in a variety of settings. It's also easy to manage users, each with different use cases and permissions. We can customize players for different areas with playlists and widgets.

Cons

I wasn't part of the purchasing team, so I can't speak to the pricing. I know we have a limited number of account licenses, so we have to keep an eye on that.
