This is important to ensure our customers can read our help content and feedback replies easily, to improve the effectiveness of both. Cons While Google Translate's APIs do an excellent job of translating language, there are certain instances where it would be helpful to have more powerful tools for configuring specific technical terms and words specific to our industry to be auto-translated correctly, so context isn't lost. At times, though Google Translate has provided transparent passthrough of HTML with no issue, we have had issues with content tags not being accepted via API for Intercom, which means that formatting of tables and rich text has been lost via automatic translation. December 2, 2025 3.0 It is fast in terms of getting an answer for you, it is free, and it does do what you need it to, about 60-75% of the time. I guess no translation application will be able to utterly decipher a differing language, but for the ease of access and entry for people, this would probably be the one to go with. Pros I liked how immersive the application was itself, the way you could input different things inside of it and it spits out a (usually) pretty good translation. Cons I've noticed, especially in Spanish translations, that there will some words or phrases that cannot be translated or translates to something completely different than what we were expecting. This is by far the #1 purpose that Google Translate serves to me. Cons Back in the day, the number of languages available on Google Translate was lacking. However they have done a great job at continuing to add languages. As I write this, I have went back in and looked at all of the language offerings. It is quite impressive now! It has made travelling to countries with language different than ours easy and has broken the language barriers that prevented visitors from communicating with locals. Pros Google Translate is by far the most excellent software that I have used so far for translation purposes. It is completely free and has a very simple user interface which futher add to its easy of use. It supports more than 100 major languages from around the world.. It enables its users to translate to and from language in to any other language rather than only english like most of its counterparts. It also transcribe the speech input into the same language and give voice output of written text. Along with input phrases/ sentences, it also provides its users to translate a whole documet into another language. Its best application its ability to enable a user to have live conversation with a speaker of another language, by adapting alternating languages, just by listening to the sentence and then giving an audio output. It readily integrates with Google Lens which enables you to translate any text on a billboard, book etc into your language just by aiming the camera. The best thing about Google translate is the face that you can download a language package to your mobile, which then enables you to use it even with out internet connectivity. It available and works flawlessly on all smartphone and computer platforms. Cons I personally find Google translate as a perfect sofware that serves its purpose very well but to mention one flaw that I have experienced firsthand in it is the problem that it have is constructing meaning from characters when translating Chinese or Japanese written text especially while using Google Lense. Others are pretty good as well but Google translate is what I’m used to and I use it the most. I highly recommend it. Pros It’s hard to pick what feature I liked most about Google Translate but I would say the top two are language detection and translation accuracy. Being able to type out your message and hand your phone over to the receiver so they can read it was beneficial as well because you can’t always pronounce the translation accurately. Then they can type in their message in their language and convert it back to English for you to read. And you can also tap on the speaker button and the voice will read the message for you. Pros The most impactful feature is the machine translation because even though it does not always sounds natural or gets the exact meaning, it is super handy for common words or everyday conversations. I like that I can download the language and so, I do not need internet data and that has saved me multiple times when traveling. Cons The audio and picture translation features could improve. These two features are great as taking the picture of, for example, a food item is quick and handy. However, it does not always captures the whole text or the picture translation becomes very messy and you need o decipher what it means or type out the information which takes more time.
