I have used a few different services and even with some of its lacking features, the ability to easily roll out your podcast makes Anchor a clear choice

Pros

The ease of use going from uploading your audio assets to then sharing your podcast to all major outlets is very helpful

Cons

The analytics do not give enough information to be able to focus on areas of growth. Other services such as Podtrac give greater details, but Anchor and Spotify were removed as accessible for that service

Loved it, wish I never left. When Spotify took control I was offered a free "lifetime" offer with a competitor and I regret it to this day. Anchor was easy and simple and uploading episodes was a breeze.

Pros

Anchor offered a simple interface for easy and fast uploading of episodes. other sites I've tried made me go through random steps that tripped me up to just get to the upload page.

Cons

Not a lot of cons for a free service. It's hard to complain that a free service doesn't offer a lot of bells and whistles. I'd rather have a solid simple service than an overly bloated service that doesn't work well. Anchor was lean and amazing.

Pros

It can be easily used to host and edit your own podcast or others. The ability to edit the podcasts and the audio through the app is something different from what other apps do.

Cons

There should be a ability to not just edit audio and video of things and podcast and have to pay so much for it. If its by spot ivy their should be integration with it and have music and other systems with it

Great but I switch to riverside because It givves me better analitics a website and, publishes better to YouTube. But Anchor now known as Spotify for Creators is great for a begginer Podcaster.

Pros

It was an easy workflow and well organized. Make uploading videos to spotify easy. Sense its free there is great value for money.

Cons

It only Showed Analytics from Spotify which isn't helpful for podcasting and learning about your episodes. The customer support isnt great

Anchor has been able to assist me with getting my message out and being able to build a relationship with each fan, host and also other professionals in this industry.

Pros

As a beginner in the podcast industry, I was able to learn a lot of different production techniques and developed my audio and podcast skills so that I was able to sound much more professional as each episode continued.

Cons

The software does not necessarily get your information verified on Pandora, iHeartRadio and Amazon podcasting.

Pros

It has very good audio editing, the sound is crisp and they are always available to answer to question very quickly.

Cons

The voice and vocal recording option was hard to use, the interface was not friendly to use. A lot of time to learn it.

I always give my clients a choice. But it does come down how will they be interested in podcasting. if a limited time, I suggest anchor. but if it it is longer, Podbean or other host will be better.

Pros

\- Anchor give you multichannel distribution - unlimited episode storage - Wave editor - section to make money - Anchor is free - If you want to review copyright song, you can with Anchor and Spotify

Cons

\- Tech support needs work - Anchor take a fee when you start to monetize

Excellent, I've been using Anchor since a University project more than 8 years ago and I'd highly recommend it to anyone creating podcast content.

Pros

How easy it is to use, how quickly it distributes to the main apps and the low cost (we mainly use free but have dabbled with paid for features!)

Cons

Getting distributed in one of our podcasts took longer on some channels than it should but support investigated and found an error in the code that they quickly resolved.

The funds spent on Anchor is worth every penny. There is more to it than just hit record and upload. There is also mental therapy that takes place the more you use it.

Pros

Anchor is so easy to use; you just plug in the data and go. I really miss recording my podcasts. The hardest part of its use was coming up with ways to keep my words in the correct order. Mostly because I had so many of them.

Cons

At the time of my usage of the software, there was no live or AI features available. This can only mean one thing; time to revisit Anchor and share what's new!

Cons

Recording audio with Anchor is spotty at best. The distortion is unpredictable and best to record audio separate and upload to Anchor.

Pros

The most important reason is that is free, very stable, easy to use and have all what you need to launch a pro podcast.

Cons

The audio editing tools are very limited, it could be better, maybe as a paid upgrade

My experience has been good with Anchor. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. The sharing capabilities are also quite nice.

Pros

This software is quite user friendly, and even as a beginner with audio recording and editing, this is an easy platform to use. The quality of the audio recording, given that you have at least mid grade equipment, is also quite good.

Cons

There are few to list here. It does not have some of the more bold features that some podcast applications have, but it is a great starting point.

After I discovered that there was a difference between the app and browser. I chose the browser. See above for reason. Customer service is helpful and polite. it is also easy access to chat to some one. the bot is not a bot that does not understand what you are saying. it is nearly as good quality as microsoft chat. it connects you pretty quick with customer service. 10 out of 10 for that. overal, I like anchor simple and direct.

Pros

that the browser is far easier to use, then the app, one can not over see in the app. it is more for listeners that creators. I have no understanding how it works. the customer service agent could not explain it as there is no visual or verbal connection to show some one with sharing screens.

Cons

also what was annoying was that when you down load the app, it does not give you a choice on which email to use. as I registered on the webbrowser. it did not automatically find it. so I deleted the app. downloading the app also takes up to much room on the computer that is why i like to work in the browser

Reason for choosing Anchor

I have not purchased anchor and that is another great as thatgives you time to learn how to use it and to get to know how podcasting works. Thank you anchor

We just love Anchor since we started with them in 2018. We have grown our podcast into over 30 countries worldwide

Pros

What can I say? Anchor provided us with a way to get our podcast out into the mainstream media with little or no podcasting experience as well as being free

Cons

Very little cons except maybe more distribution outlets

If you have an opinion that needs to be heard across the world, choose anchor. My experience has been great.

Pros

I like how you can add songs and sounds to your podcast. Recording audio is easy and they are stored on the cloud, making it easier to be accessed even after loosing your device. The analytics is very informative and helps one to develop and adjust properly.

Cons

I would really love if there's an option for live streaming. I would also like if people can easily send audio to you so you can easily add it to your podcast.
