It was easy to implement, it is easy to use and, when needed, the support has been terrific. Pros We are a small firm that was using CCH's Workstream for our tax project tracking, which was tedious, unintuitive and very slow. We are very glad that we have made the switch to . It is easy to use, easy to customize for how our firm operates, handles all of the important things needed for tracking, and is always being improved. What once took numerous clicks, entries & minutes is now completed in seconds with just a few clicks. And we even saved some money in the end. Great - and much needed - product! Cons worked very well for us from the beginning and has only been improved since. We have no complaints. Creating the projects is straightforward and the customizations of the worksteps is easy. We are able to see the statuses we want to see for each project and can sort them easily as well. Pros It is basic, customizable, and not complicated at all. Other tracking software try to do far too much and are needlessly complicated. Cons There currently is not an email notification option for when an assignee is changed. The developer is aware of this and will look into an update for it. June 24, 2022 5.0 has made it much easier for anyone in the office to see exactly where a return is and what, if anything, we are waiting on. Pros I love that this is just a step above a normal spreadsheet and easier to collaborate on. I did not need one hundred features, I needed to track our workflow. I needed to see who had open returns and where we were in the process. Extra features are nice but I already have a CRM and a portal so I did not need to combine all those things. It was easy to get started, and I appreciated how focused and user-friendly everything was. If I didn’t already have other systems in place, I’d absolutely be using it. It’s a solid option, especially for firms looking for a cleaner, more affordable alternative to the bigger platforms. Pros It’s super intuitive and clearly built with accountants or bookkeepers in mind. I loved how easy it was to track tasks and manage my workflows without feeling overwhelmed. It’s clean, efficient, and it was intuitive to use. Cons Honestly, nothing about the software itself — it’s great. I already had other software in place that overlaps with what does, and since those are tied into more expensive systems I’m already paying for, it didn’t make sense for me to keep both. Cons When we were deciding which system to purchase, we initially thought may not have all the functionalities that we were looking for. However, they worked with us to find solutions and helped implement information needed. The customization process was efficient. Amazing staff to work with. Reason for choosing TaxFlow Easy interface. Gives us what we need now. We only have positive hopes that will grow and integrate more options to make it better in the future. I love how simple this software is in tracking projects as they come into the office and through the different stages. No bells or whistles, only pay for exactly what we need. Cons It would be great if projects would be able to roll over for the following year into a project that is not received yet, or something like that status.
