Their JIT is straightforward to administer, and the application controls granularity is superior to that of other platforms. Cons I don't know yet if they offer a built-in Password Vault, but if it is in the works, that would be a plus. Reasons for choosing Heimdal Privileged Access Management Cylance was one of the alternative products that we considered before purchasing Heimdal Privileged Access Management (PAM). Cylance is a well-known and highly-regarded endpoint protection solution that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect and prevent malware and other cyber threats. While Cylance is an effective solution for endpoint protection, it does not offer the same level of advanced security features and compliance and audit management capabilities that Heimdal PAM provides for privileged access management. Cons The user experience leaves something to be desired in comparison to Admin By Request, users needs to right-click a file to run it with Heimdal PAM, with ABR its inline as soon as the exe is run. The admin via an app is frustrating as it logs the admin out - so no push notification and doesn't use biometrics to authenticate the user - so every time you have to login in with email, password and then got to the separate Authenticator pp to get a code. Not a good workflow. It is like the development team got ahead of the human interface team. Pros The ability to downgrade the users to standard users remotely and elevate them remotely when required - to install an application. Cons The interface and language used - are clunky and unintuitive. They confuse users with the prompts and language used and the interface is confusing.
