It's constantly being updated, yet I've never experienced any bugs. I see new features being developed like integration with Storj, so it keeps with the new modern times. The FileZilla Pro also has options for amazon S3, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. So it really offers a lot, and if you have a few extra bucks to throw in for the Pro version, it's really worth it! Pros FileZilla has everything you need to transfer files through FTP to your site hosting or server. It is easy to use and intuitive. The development adds new features. I just saw that it integrates with STORJ - the decentralized storage platform based on the cryptocurrency. How cool is that? It has all the advanced options you need, without making it confusing. The basic settings will work for 90% of use-cases when transferring files to your host. And you also have those advanced options for specific use cases. So everything you need for FTP, you can find in FileZilla. Cons The design of the software and website could be improved to make it look more modern. I'm afraid many people not giving it a chance because of other "shiny" tools that can't do 10% of what FileZilla can do. Some options are tucked away, hidden, which makes it hard for me to find them. It makes transferring files smooth and painless. It was very easy to setup the FTP interface and simply drag the files into the remote folder and they upload quickly. I had to move my settings from one PC to another recently and it was super easy to export the settings from the first PC and import them into the second. This is great if you have multiple employees that need to access the same servers. Just set up once, export it, and use that to import into the other computers. If you need something beyond standard FTP there is also an inexpensive Pro version to get you set up with webDAV, Dropbox, Google Drive, and more. Pros Easy to use and set up. You can upload via the file structure of your local site or just drop and drag. Import/Export of FTP settings. Free and Pro applications available. I'm not a power user and it has a lot of options I don't need, but I've run a bunch of websites with it. Pros Filezilla is easy to use and has an interface where you can see exactly what you're doing at a glance. Strengths include the drag and drop functionality, and the ability to queue entire websites which make it really helpful. Being able to edit files as if you're editing them on the server is especially handy. Filezilla is regularly updated, which gives me peace of mind security-wise. Cons I can't really think of any cons. Filezilla help could be a little better integrated when dealing with more intricate tasks but I'm saying this as a user who doesn't have much complex ftp knowledge. L'interfaccia grafica è essenziale e molto facile da usare e permette la visualizzazione/modifica dei files, l'esplorazione sincronizzata delle directory (locale/remoto), la visualizzazione dei files modificati più recenti, l'aggiunta di files alla coda in trasferimento e molte altre funzionalità. Filezilla ha anche un "Site manager" che permette di memorizzare i nostri siti ftp in modo da poter collegarsi a questi con un solo click. My favorite feature is the ease with which you can connect to an external server or device. The File transfers occur quickly and the progress is displayed at the bottom of the window every step of the way. Cons My least favorite aspect of Filezilla is the browser window for the files. The folders do not expand and must be entered completely changing the directory displayed in the window. It's a minor annoyance, but still noticeable. I'm not someone who works in this area a lot so it's something that I find very complicated and difficult, but my experience with this software has been really good and doesn't require a lot of technical know how to get things connected and working. Also being able to use it for free is amazing! Cons My Filezilla seems to frequently require updates which, on mac, means reinstalling the software and removing the old software. But yes, it gives a strong file management option that I like. Cons The UI UX is poor, all functionality is not strong, not comfortable to use and the whole Filezilla looks messy! Pros FileZilla is a quick and easy tool to use to connect to FTP site, transfer data and is simplistic in its design. Overall the functions are simple and the look is overall very basic. There is no 'Trick Ponies' here but it's not really needed. Cons The overall look is a bit dated and very simplistic, it could stand a bit of an update with cleaner screens or more of an eye catching look. User experience is good and easy to use. Cons 1\. We can not upload files to multiple folder together, you need to select each folder and upload. 2. Fu una bella scoperta ma il fatto che non lo utilizzi più da tanti anni credo sia già indice del ruolo che questo tipo di software hanno maturato ultimamente. Resta sicuramente utile in alcuni contesti specifici e per chi si occupa di webdesign come attività principale. Pros FileZilla è un ottimo software per trasferire "fisicamente" file da un computer privato ad un server in rete attraverso il protocollo FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Cons Il problema è che sicuramente non è un software per tutti e che, ad oggi, probabilmente è già superato (soprattutto per i non web designer, ovviamente) poiché molti provider offrono a prezzo vantaggiosi domini già implementati con CMS (del tipo di Wordpress) molto intuitivi e facili da usare.
