Pros

Easy to access customer files, cloud based is nice, support staff is helpful, having email templates is nice.

Cons

Hard to customize for automatic actions and such. Creating custom reports is not intuitive and seems cumbersome.

It is a way to manage contacts and leads, if someone was looking for something, I would refer them to SugarCRM since that's what I have the most experience with, but there is a lot of room for them to grow and make this a better system.

Pros

Sugar provides a way for us to keep track of our contacts and leads.

Cons

It is really buggy. It takes a long time to save minor changes to contacts, sometimes it says changes saved but then when pulling up the profile later it turns out they didn't. Logged calls sometimes disapper, and it is overall dated.

I've used many other CRM's (Salesforce, Netsuite, Dynamic) and have found them to be more robust than Sugar. However, I also realize those CRM's are a lot more expensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, I think Sugar is sufficient for what we use it for, which is mainly keeping records of contacts. Our company doesn't utilize all the benefits of Sugar so that falls mainly on us.

Pros

It's failry simple to navigate and the APP is ok too.

Cons

Creating reports seem to be a challenge.

The software is highly customizable and still fit our needs.

Pros

I like the commercial open source nature of the product. You can download the open source edition - which is quite functional - and get a very good feel for what it does. In fact, the free version is like sufficient for most small businesses. The product is feature-rich - comparable to the alternative from a feature standpoint, but much less expensive. I also like the fact we can host the application in-house giving us absolution control over the data and integrations with our other applications.

Cons

While not a fault of the vendor or product - you do need to be aware the ecosystem supporting SugarCRM is much smaller than the entrenched giants. We've not found this to be an issue - but for someone looking to "go with the crowd," you might want to consider this.

Quick fast reporting. Ease of contact management.

Pros

I love the simple filtering, quick and comprehensive reporting and the ease of customizing your view.

Cons

I would say that only part I don't like is that it's a bear to do mass updates and mass exporting of data. When using reporting, you don't run into many issues, but upon using the export feature in the module, you get 1000 record limits.

Pros

I liked how easy the initial set up and install process was, it's a 'small' but powerful CRM that does what most small businesses would need it to do.

Cons

Sometimes the User experience isn't that intuitive or simple, it's got less functionality compared to Microsoft D365 or Salesforce, but I think it's good for the right size of business.

Pros

SugarCRM is very powerful and has many features. Setup correctly it is everything you will ever need in a CRM platform.

Cons

It is a shame that the lowest price point requires you to have a minimum of ten users. SugarCRM would be of huge benefit to smaller businesses but is price restrictive for them.

Its a relatively simple and easy to navigate tool once you understand a few parameters. basic crm features included

everytime you move to another group it loads and takes time. I cant imagine how much time my company wastes as a whole looking at the spinning wheel

We've been using SugarCRM for almost four years now, and it has vastly improved our reporting and tracking activities. It has really helped automate previously manual functions that are required for our monthly reports and the customization of fields makes it really catered to our needs.

Extremely difficult to use all available features. Trainers and customer support need more training as well. The software boast tons of features but no one seems to know how to use them all and link them to other software to be most beneficial

Easy to use. I've used Salesforce in the past and it's similar to that. Lots of customization available.

Cons

We've had to customize a lot for our accounting business and it gets pricey to make many changes. I have a hard time understanding how to run reports, it seemed much easier to me in Salesforce, but maybe that's because we have a lot of customization.

Cons

Searches are not very accurate. And a lot of lagging time when performing searches (might be due to our big database though).

Use Sugar CRM to keep track of client records for 30-40 clients.

Pros

Super easy to set up program. Does a great job at keeping up with client information and tracking history of interactions.

Cons

The videos for training were helpful but oftentimes it appeared that they were for much larger companies than our small 10-20 employee organization.

Once you get it rolling you can really work with SugarCRM

Pros

SugarCRM tries to be what Salesforce has always been. As an open source product you can get a lot of functionality for free, once you manage the administration of the server. Good customisation of the user interface, too.

Cons

Even the professional version has many limits in terms of functions and flexibility.

My use of Sugar has been a bit more limiting than some others, but when used, it's been a solid CRM to meet out needs. We've tried an in-house built CRM and it keeps paling in comparison to Sugar. The features and functions are strong and it's abilities are probably much more powerful than I've learned how to use to date.

Pros

pretty intuitive to use and a clean layout; helps us track our sales funnel from capturing leads to sales so very helpful in meeting its designed intent

Cons

can't always quickly find what I'm looking for but likely caused by not using it day in and day out

Pros

I can't speak for the paid versions, we only used the community editions which appear to have been removed. At the time it seemed like a very robust system.

Cons

I tried to implement it in my company a few times but for some reason, it just didn't stick. Users complained about stability and it crashing. Pages would show up differently on different computers and seemed needlessly heavy. I really hope they stepped up their game before pulling the community edition.

Pros

We really appreciate the functionality and all the plugins that are available for sugar CRM. In our testing and implementation, there is nearly nothing which SugarCRM is unable to do. Dream it, do it!

Cons

However, the broad range of customization available with sugar CRM can be a downside as well, resulting in additional plugins which can add to the cost to use it monthly. It would be nice if the developers baked all the functionality into the same product.

We aren't in sales per say but we have adapted it to be able to use it for our needs and it is working great. We just upgraded to the Enterprise edition so I am looking forward to diving in to more features and knowledge!

Pros

Workflows help us get knowledge about our client leads to the appropriate people for action to take place

Kind of a learning curve in order to set up the system and workflows
