Pros The Concepts feature is pretty new and unique from the other tools that are out there. When one compares Outranking - this is clearly the feature that stands apart from the rest. However, I was not convinced it would do that. Therefore, I couldn't justify spending $49 a month on this tool. To make matters worse, the company charged my credit card $49 even though this was meant to be a free trial. I received no refund after cancelling my membership within two weeks. Despite contacting them three times, they have not responded to me. Very disappointed. Pros There are some nice features to this tool. It finds SERP ideas almost instantaneously, and you can easily select which ones you want to create your first draft, cutting down your research time. You can quickly drill down and deselect anything that you don't want to use. It also makes ready suggestions for your titles and meta descriptions, which you can easily edit them. Features such as on-page SEO score and section builder are very useful, as is the constantly updated preview of your draft. Cons My biggest complaint is that I didn't find this tool intuitive to use. I found myself constantly referring to the help documentation and videos to proceed with the next step. It was very laborious. I appreciate there is a learning curve, but producing my first draft took me longer than if I had written it all manually. In addition, I didn't realize straight away that, every time you click "generate" for more ideas on a particular section, you're using up your allotted number of credits. So, even though you're on a plan for, say, 10 documents a month, you have a limit number of credits to use within those 10 documents. It's saving me a lot of time, especially in the research phase and outline building. I don't use it too much for AI writing, but mainly for content optimization, and it's amazing for this! Pros Outranking is probably the best long-form assistant on the market for SEO copywriting. It gives you many insights regarding NLP terms, content structure and outline, and tone of voice optimization. It's incredibly feature-rich, and it's guaranteed for you to publish content that ranks if you follow their guidelines. Cons The main problems are not related to the software (Outranking) but to the technology (AI) The main con of using AI for content writing is the lack of human expertise required to create high-quality, engaging pieces. This means that if an AI-generated piece falls short, it could be difficult or even impossible to correct. Another potential downside is that as artificial intelligence becomes more sophisticated and capable, it may become increasingly difficult to distinguish between genuine insights from a machine and flattery from a human author. In fact, GPT-3 (the AI used for content generation by Outranking) is not factual, and the platform is missing fact-checking. Relying too much on AI can make you produce wrong content that rank well, creating a negative sentiment from your users. Also, to write proper content, the AI needs a lot of sources, so if you write about a new topic on the internet (meaning there are only a few articles on it, or even 0) it has no reference to produce this content, ending up generating random things about unrelated topics. That is incredibly rare, but not that rare if you are writing in another language (once I was writing about some specific hair shampoo in Italian, and it generated some blockchain and crypto content). The most exciting of Outranking is its SERP Analysis and keyword suggestion. Cons Most of the things of Outranking really stunning. But there are some issues which should be taken care of.
