### "A game changer for conversation in team"

September 15, 2021

5.0

I can no longer do without it. I coordinate an editorial staff and they thanked me a lot for having moved all of our discussions on Threads.

Pros

My favorite feature is in the name itself: threads! I think asynchronous communication is very important and every team should prefer it instead of chat and email (not to mention social networks!); I was looking exactly this feature and it hasn't been easy.

Cons

I'm waiting for improvement on the mobile app. I also hope that they will implement a better way to look at picture attached, a sort of gallery for example.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Threads

I tried over 20 alternatives. There were only two quite good: Twist and Zoho Connect. Twist was too expensive, Zoho Connect was too confusing. Threads was perfect even it was at its earliest stadium.

### "Simple, essential and complete"

December 22, 2021

4.0

Managing editorial tasks just got a lot easier and more orderly since we switched to Threads. I am able to more easily retrieve the discussions I need and can signal the need for the intervention of a specific person via tags

Pros

It allows you to divide the activities of a company into different threads whose notifications can be set to notify you of updates regarding the work each one deals with

Cons

There are still some minor bugs in the mobile version and it can be a bit tricky at first logins for those not used to organization divided by threads

The editorial activities were organized in a private Facebook group, but often individual users lost important information because the notifications regarding the work were mixed with the personal ones of their personal social network account

### "Threads: Similar to other platforms"

September 28, 2023

3.0

Threads is an easy to use platform and has drawn many participants, creating a platform with many diverse conversations. However, this platform does not have any unique features that set it apart from other social media platforms for me.

Pros

Threads sparks longer discussions and also promotes continuity of discussion. This allows focused discussion on one particular subject.

Cons

There is no additional benefit to Threads compared to Twitter/X. I view them as the same platform due to similar user interfaces and functions.I cannot locate a means to organize and filter the discussions by category.

### "Good alternative to Slack"

December 24, 2023

4.0

Pros

It is easy to integrate with many tools teams already use

Cons

Pricing might be an issue when the team starts to grow. It does not support many languages (or at least I am unaware of local language support).

I only discovered Threads as I joined a new project.

### "Perfect for different tasks or project simultaneously"

December 23, 2021

5.0

I used threads to manage a newspaper editorial. we are about 50 users, which allowed us to interact with each other and exchange new articles and opinions in a simple and organized way. we have divided the space into several tabs, one concerning the reports of the meetings that we made online and the organization of that, one for the delivery of the articles and its proofreading, and one for the other things.

Pros

it is very easy to see which new threads are, which ones you have been tagged in and which ones in the tab you are interested in. also the summary that appears in the notifications is exhaustive and in addition if it is tagged the notification remains until you choose "I replied to the tag", so you avoid reading a threads by mistake and not responding. you can also upload images and documents. in addition, by copying and pasting a document (word for example), it keeps bolds, links, italics, etc. you can also post emoticons in response to threads.

Cons

so far I have not found any particular problems in using this program.

### "Threads is a game-changer for remote teams"

July 28, 2021

5.0

Pros

It's helped us lean into async communication - we're a remote team, distributed throughout the world. When we're making big decisions or announcements, we turn to Threads. This tool has helped us make decisions as a team without having to be on a call or in the same timezone. Other communication tools like email and Slack are complimentary (email for external communications, Slack for quick chatter / daily standups) but for the big rocks, we use Threads.

Cons

The latest UX has been great in terms of requesting feedback directly from colleagues, but some of the UX feels a bit like email now. I preferred the simplicity of the look and feel before but with some of the new features.

### "Good to create the company knowledge"

April 28, 2022

5.0

Pros

It's very good to persist information that could be easily lost in Slack. So it's good to to create the company knowledge and to share the past discussions with new employees.

Cons

It could be an alternative to Slack but I could not chat in real-time inside the app. I had to switch to Slack to send messages in real-time.

### "Great tool"

Communication, project management, with team members even on different time zones.

Pros

It’s really easy to follow up a subject with different members regardless their agenda because every one can reply when their are available.

Cons

Integrate more connections with existing tools would be a plus so you can monitorate more project from the platform.
