Cons Navigation was a bit clunky in the early versions, but the platform is continually improving. Pros Im Zuge der Corona-Pandemie haben wir uns im Frühjahr 2021 für Cling entschieden, da die Komunikation mit Schülern, Eltern und Kollegen und Kolleginnen sehr einfach war und ist. Cling bietet für unsere Schulgemeinschaft die perfekte Möglichkeit, sich zu organisieren und zu strukturieren - und das ganz einfach. Lehrer und Lehrerinnen, Schüler und Schülerinnen sowie Eltern können problemlos untereinander Lehrmittel, Aufgaben, Arbeitsmaterialien und Informationen austauschen und miteinander kommunizieren. Das schnelle Hochladen von Dateien, Bildern und Videos unterstützen dies. Die Schüler und Schülerinnen können jederzeit auf den Lernstoff mit Erklärvideos, Bildern, Merksätzen, Aufgaben und Lösungen selbstständig zugreifen. Dank integrierter Videofunktion können Schüler und Schülerinnen auch von Zuhause aus am Unterricht teilnehmen. Cling ist wie ein riesiges Archiv, das keine Termine oder Inhalte vergisst. Ebenso ist die Organisation des Kollegiums mit Cling effektiv und stressfrei umgesetzt. Alle arbeiten gern mit Cling - ein Faktor, den man nicht unterschätzen sollte. It eliminates the need to constantly switch between applications, thereby greatly improving peace of mind. Pros I use Cling almost every day. Cling lets me create a board for any aspect of my business and private life. Cling‘s greatest strength is its integration of different „disciplines“. An example: You can create an „Expenses“ board where all employees upload receipts they received during travel plus their expense reports. They can add any necessary comments. When accounting has a question, they can reach out by leaving a comment on the item in question, upon which the person who uploaded the item will be informed via email. Or you create a kanban style shared task management board for your team. Items can be arranged in „Open“, „In progress“ and „Done“ columns, assigned to the right coworker and given a due date. Whenever the status of an item changes, it can easily be dragged and dropped to another column, giving the whole team a great overview of their work. Different means of collaboration and communication are deeply integrated into Cling, allowing you, for example, to chat with or video call a coworker directly from the board that you are both working on. Cons There is a certain learning curve to the product. I believe that’s due to the many different tools that Cling unites into one (note taking, bookmarking, file management, task management). Die Stärke von Cling ist die sehr ansprechende visuelle Darstellung der Daten und die sehr offene Grundachitektur der Software, die es für sehr unterschiedliche Anwendungsfälle prädestiniert. Pros Cling verfolgt einen Design-Ansatz, der sehr stark auf die visuelle organisation von Informationen abzielt. Das ist sehr erfrischend, da man immer einen guten Überblick über seine Daten hat, egal ob man sich ein Bord für rechercheaufgaben anlegt, um Materialien zu sammeln und zu kategorisieren, oder ob man Cling nutzt, um Aufgaben und Mitarbeiter zu organisieren. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Software-Lösungen für Alltagsaufgaben, deren UI von der Anwendungsfreundlichkeit und dem Erscheinungsbild oft noch tief in den 90ern zu stecken scheint, sieht ein gut organisiertes Cling-Board visuell einfach gut aus, und das motiviert, es auch regelmäßig zu nutzen. In dieser Hinsicht Daumen hoch! Auch die Nutzung im Browser ist hilfreich, wenn man von unterschiedlichen Orten auf seine Boards zugreifen will. Cons Das erste Arbeiten und die Grundfunktionen von Cling erschießen sich nicht so intuitiv, wie man sich das eingentlich wünschen würde. Die Video-Tutorials sind zwar sehr hilfreich, dennoch sollten sich die Grundfunktionen von alleine erschließen. Wenn man diesen Schritt aber gemacht hat, ist das Arbeiten mit den Cling-Boards hingegen sehr intutitv und effizient. Am Smartphone mache ich das über den normalen Teilen-Mechanismus. Neben Links, kann ich in Cling aber auch Notizen, Bilder und andere Dateien speichern und organisieren. Das passiert auf Boards, die für jeden Link, jede Notiz und jede Datei Karten in beliebig vielen Spalten darstellen. Mit Drag & Drop bzw. Cut & Paste ist super schnell Ordnung hergestellt. Außerdem kann ich Boards mit anderen Personen teilen, was zusammen mit der Möglichkeit, an eine Karte beliebig viele Kommentare ranzuschreiben, vielfältige Optionen der Zusammenarbeit ermöglicht. Sogar ein Video-Chat ist integriert, der problemlos im Browser funktioniert. Wir nutzen zum Beispiel ein Cling-Board, um uns gegenseitig über interessante Open-Source-Software und Fachartikel zu informieren. Cons Ich würde mir noch Push-Nachrichten aufs Smartphone wünschen. Zur Zeit gibt es nur E-Mails Benachrichtigungen.
