I can see all the tickets and don't have to log in every time.

Pros

Hallo, First: It was easy to install and to config. Second: I can see all tickets in outlook. Third: It's pretty much the same view as on the website.

Cons

I see all tickets that are over a period of time via the calendar.

working with Redmine using Outlook reading "tickets" in Outlook

Dear Michal, thank you for your time and your opinion! The appearance of tickets in the Outlook calendar looks classical. If the ticket takes more than 1 day it will look respectively in the calendar. There is an option to view the Redmine tickets calendar separately from other calendars in Outlook. Also, you can use Redmine custom fields to put exact start/end time in hh:mm format, to add reminders in Outlook. Great

Pros

The ease on integrating email communication with projects and issues in redmine. Keeping track of ongoing threads.

Cons

I'd like to have more filtering options on the issues that are visible in Outlook. We have a lot of projects which I'm assigned to, but not all of them need to be tracked by the addin/ within outlook, at least not for me. Some kind of white/black list would be helpful.

Despite the minor inconvenience with responsivity, which may actually also result form our implementation of Redmine, the Redmine Outlook Add-In increased our productivity to great extent. External customers/partners still can communicate with us using e-mails, but translation of tasks resulting from these can be converted to Redmine issues in no-time. There is nothing we can miss now.

Creation of new issues with this add-on is very simply and fast. In Outlook you can see all history of issue.

Pros

Integrations was very easy and fast. All main functionality of Redmine are integrated.

Cons

I don't know, if it is possible but, will be useful when will be synchronize already created ticket/issue between users of one group mailbox.

great as said above.

Pros

We use this tool to integrate our support issues to the existing redmine installation our developers use. i learned there are not many stand alone outlook add-ins for redmine like this one. it is easy to install and after connecting to redmine all the individually configured issue addtributes are present. you can immidiatley start to work. integration to outlook is great and working stable.

Cons

there are some user defined redmine fields that are not possible to use, but this is minor issue.

The add-in is a great timesaver and greatly simplifies creation of RM issues from email.

Pros

My team has been using this for a long time now, probably 4 years or more. It does what it says on the tin and allows easy creation of RM issues directly from within outlook. Developers have been very contactable and willing to consider and implement suggestions for improvement (i.e. auto add watchers to issue based on email to/cc list if they exist in RM users list) which has made this easy to use and very effective.

Cons

When i accidentally set up the outlook task list sync, all my open and overdue issues appeared in outlook tasks. Overdue popups drove me mad. It was not clear if deleting the tasks in outlook would delete them in RM.

Aside from initial issues getting it working, it's a huge time saver!

Pros

It makes it easier to manage your issues in Redmine from your outlook plug in. No copying emails and email replies from your outlook in to the ticket (and forgetting half the time)

Cons

The ability to work with customisable fields you have made mandatory
