Cons The only thing I can think of is that it’s not really possible to give them the report right after finishing the inspection. Pros I was introduced to Scribeware through an ASHI zoom meeting. I was so tired of using 3D home inspector software, I was excited to start using Scribeware. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] could be nicer to work with. Of course, starting any new software, there is a learning curve. This software is very intuitive. I have been working with it for about six months now and couldn't be happier. The real estate agents my clients and myself love the reports I publish. I can't wait to make the next step to putting it on my phone, where I will cut off more time. If you are looking forward great home inspector software, you definitely should try Scribeware, you won't be disappointed. I love how easy it is to take materials off the Internet and inserted into my report. It also is very easy to install links for additional information. My clients love this added information. Cons I am very happy with the software. I am still trying to cut down the time it takes to publish a computerized report. I look forward to installing it on my phone and taking some time off it. All computerized reports take more time to publish than my handwritten report but are well worth the time and effort to give my client a better understanding of their house through a computerized report. This program offers so much that it is my only inspection software I whatever use. Pros The reports look beautiful and professional the library of narratives are great and the program is fairly easy to use and understand. Home inspection clients want more from their home inspection reports. ScribeWare delivers on every level. ScribeWare is highly customizable to fit the inspector's personality and writing style. As the reports became more thorough, my old software had me staying up until almost midnight every night completing the report. Now that I have ScribeWare dialed in, I can complete two Home Inspections a day with only a quick review back at the office or sending them from the house on departure. Life Changing, Literally! Pros ScribeWare works and works well. ScribeWare is multifaceted software that was extremely well planned. Any growth hiccup is addressed quickly and support is awesome! Cons Template creation takes a bit of forethought and some time to create. The reward for putting in screen time before the inspection is that you can perform a full home inspection from your phone or tablet. This is extremely handy when doing framing inspections , inspecting a hoarder's home and when inspecting a roach ridden dwelling where you do not want to take home hitch hikers. Reasons for choosing ScribeWare All of the other options I reviewed all had some fatal flaw that did not meet my need. Most were written for an inexperienced inspector which is great if you are a newbie. Having more than a quarter century as a full time home inspector, I wanted my report to answer the common questions that clients would have to call me to ask. ScribeWare gives you many ways to include extra info when you want to do so. The only phone calls I get for further details are from clients that did not have or take time to read the report. As politely as possible, I open the report and read to them that short paragraph in the report that answers their question.
