It is the perfect tool for anyone suffering from "tab overload" who wants to take back control of their time. Despite a few missing features, the workflow and the support team make it a top-tier choice. Pros Akiflow has radically changed the way I manage my day. The ability to consolidate tasks from multiple platforms into a single calendar view is unparalleled. A special shout-out goes to Cecile from the support team: her assistance was fast, extremely friendly, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to find such attentive and human-centric support in a SaaS product. Cons While the app is excellent, there are two specific features I am missing: Event Templates: It’s currently missing the ability to create templates for events, which would significantly speed up the creation of recurring but non-identical appointments. Custom Video Call Links: The video call integration feels a bit rigid. I would love the ability to natively set personal links from other communication apps instead of being limited to the default Meet or Teams options. There is much that can be improved in terms of defining tasks, and I would like to have more capabilities for the integrations with Slack and similar tools (for example pushing new tasks from Akiflow directly). Pros I started using Akiflow to have a single source of truth for my various apps. I needed a place where all tasks come together, giving me an overview of what is still on my to-do list. Akiflow has a sleek user interface, and I like that it elevates tasks (instead of the calendar kanban view). I also like the integration with WhatsApp for ease of adding new tasks. The AI tool works relatively well. Cons I would like better clarity around the difference between tasks, events, blockers in the calendar. It gets confusing, and the app does not handle it well. Also, depending on how you define tasks, they get visible (or not) in the main calendar, which means that you will only rely on the main inobx, making most of the other features less valuable. The integrations with Slack and Clickup are okay (only one-way), and they can get confusing (new tasks appear when you flag messages in Slack, for instance). They have native apps on all the platforms. Akiflow really helped me in getting organised better. Pros I really liked how you can integrate all your accounts , Multiple Teams, Slack, Calenders, Clickup and Jira. Being a Project coordinator this really helped me. I cannot see myself working without it anymore! Pros Takes some getting used to all features, but there are loads of tutorials. It improves my productivity, being super easy to create tasks on the fly (so I don't forget them later), track work completed per #tag (i.e. projects). I can schedule meetings from there and share my availability. I love the stats and daily shutdown ritual to plan the next day. The integrations with email and slack is brilliant, I can quickly set a reminder/flag an email and it pops up as a Task in my Akiflow inbox. Cons Currently, it is not possible to customise meetings created via Akiflow. I know all my tasks from all my tools are there, and I can easily plan them on my calendar. Many "extra" features are nice like time slots, stats and the share availability (it's like calendly, but integrated with all my calendars) Cons The mobile app was not the best until a couple of months ago, but it has been working well for some time now, and when I asked, they told me they were ready to release it to the stores. Pros Integration with all the tools I use, particularly the great slack integration. Command bar interface, with availability everywhere. Slots are a great feature that help with time boxing. Cons Mobile app is still in beta, and could do wit a lot of polishing up. For example, the inference of dates, durations etc doesn't work as well as desktop, Slack saves could have a pop up that allows you to add planning info, like when you create a Polly. The team is obviously actively working on the platform. They communicate really well. They provide really solid support. And these things have just all gotten better over time. So that all instills confidence and leaves sort of the sense of a good experience overall. Then from a task management perspective, Akiflow has been really, really useful to me. And the fact that there's a great calendar built in on top of that, I'll take it. So A+ on the overall experience. Pros AkiFlow is a really well-polished system. I use it daily for calendaring, in which it shines when I am attempting to schedule meetings across time zones, when I'm sharing my availability, when I'm managing my tasks. Really everything that I would want AkiFlow to do, it does well. So what I like the most about it is that it is so comprehensive a solution, and then the second thing I really like about it is that the team is working very hard on the platform. We, users, typically see a new release, a new update every week, maybe every two weeks, but rarely does it take them a month to push out a big or any update to the system. And this is in kind of direct contrast to a lot of other tools in the calendaring and task management space where you might not see updates until two months down the line, three months down the line. They're just really not that visible with their roadmap, and AkiFlow certainly is. Cons I would like to see Akiflow focus a little more on their iPad app. There is an iPad app that fits the iPad form factor, and essentially it does have all of the functionality that the iOS app has. But it is a little bit more clunky, and the team at OAkiflow seems to know about this, and I'm sure they're working on it. They've really put a lot of time into their iOS app recently, and that's really become a great everyday calendar application and task management application on iOS. This is in contrast to some other tools on the market that maybe don't update, even though they're connected to Google Calendar as well, just as quickly, but Occyflow is really solid, the iOS app is really solid in that way. So I think I would really like to see them put some additional time into the iPad app. The other thing that I don't love is that some of the third-party integrations can act wonky sometimes. Sometimes they're absolutely fine, but a quick perusal of the Akiflow Slack channel, one of the things that you'll see is maybe a Todoist integration issue or a ClickUp integration issue, but I'm searching for something there to say that I don't like. Those issues are typically rectified pretty quickly. Alternatives considered [Motion](https://www.capterra.com/p/214264/Motion/) Reason for choosing Akiflow AkiFlow really has no issues with data siloing as opposed to Motion. Some tools just don't really integrate and connect with many other systems and that's not the world that we live in. And so one of my main criteria, and my team's main criteria, was to find a tool whose data we were able to use in other places and could make better use of the data that we have in other systems. Without that, it was a no-go for us. I could not understand why I would do those things in separate places. I live and die by my calendar and I've always been a die-hard gcal user so was skeptical at first about akiflow. But they totally won me over: share custom availabilities, quick event creation and the awesome shortcuts are a gamechanger Cons i wish there was an android widget for quick task creation! Pros One of the main things that brought me to Akiflow and what has kept me using it is the ability to sign into multiple accounts of a project management tool, such as Asana. As a consultant, it is a very important feature for me. Cons Though it's not a deal breaker, I'd like to have a timer for each task that I work on. Right now, you can only set an estimated time that a task may take to complete, but you can't track the time it actually took to complete. Just keep improving and I there won't be any reason for me to switch. Pros The connections with Slack and Notion, and how it has become my go-to place for tasks and calendar. Cons Slack tasks are saved by marking them as "later", which is neat. But when I'm done with the task in Akiflow it doesn't automatically sync with Slack, as it does with Notion. Also, it's a bit annoying that the Mac app updates and restarts multiple times a day. It also has a good integration with Slack, if I save a thread or link to be consumed later, that automatically comes into my Akiflow inbox. Cons I would love for the tasks created in Akiflow to also flow into Notion. As far as I'm aware, I can only get Notion tasks to flow into Akiflow but not the other way around. I used to manage my time randomly, procrastinating tasks and forgetting a lot of not urgent (but important) things to do. With Akiflow I started considering my week as a clear, defined itinerary with no more deviations or bumps on the road. Plus, I really like how deep you can go in organising your tasks, using different layers of control on them (tags, projects...). This helps me when I start feeling overwhelmed with too many tasks and I need to prioritise them quickly. Also, the thing that Akiflow automatically creates a task about an important email, and when you open the task you find the link that takes you directly to that email is absolutely awesome. Cons It happened just a couple of times that I noticed a little problem with the mobile app, but they always fixed the problems super quickly. Review Source BS Beth S.
