September 2, 2024 5.0 A great tool that's perfect for a multiple of disciplines - I've even started using it in my daily life. Pros Integration with all the tools I use, particularly the great slack integration. Command bar interface, with availability everywhere. Slots are a great feature that help with time boxing. Cons Mobile app is still in beta, and could do wit a lot of polishing up. For example, the inference of dates, durations etc doesn't work as well as desktop, Slack saves could have a pop up that allows you to add planning info, like when you create a Polly. This is the one that holds me, and I Suspect I'll be a user for many years to come. I can't overstate the impact this has had on my efficiency. It's a fantastic tool. Pros Crazily easy to use, great use of keyboard shortcuts, solid core of functionality. It turned my calendar into my organisational tool. Just phenomenal. No pointless features - just solid design and implementation. Cons I wish the confirmation page for the bookings didn't include an ad for the product. Brining in tasks from Notion/Jira is an absolute bonus and feature i've used extensively! Cons Unless you're into Akiflow's strict guidelines, there's not a lot of use. For example, caldav support or simple support for creating notion tasks from Akiflow - all these seem basic but don't exist here. With his constant updates, it's a product is always evolving in comparation of the slow grown and innovation of other apps. And with his philosophy of how productivity works, aims to be one of the best productivity apps on the market. Cons Akiflow is missing very few things, but if I had to mention one, it would be its integration with Office 365. Pros Great team building a powerful task consolidation program which makes it painless to have all the tasks, events, reminders, and messages in one, well-organized location. Additionally, it is beyond easy to categorize, prioritize, and schedule each task/project through their tagging features, priority metrics, due dates, and time blocking methods. The real beauty is that you can use all of these features or only a few, as the system is flexible and capable for any personality/workflow. Cons It is still in Beta so there are still a few bugs but none that are critical, and there is no mobile yet, although it will be released soon as of this review. Pros Simple to create tasks allowing me to plan the day and week ahead. The daily planning rituals are good habits to get into. It also has a good integration with Slack, if I save a thread or link to be consumed later, that automatically comes into my Akiflow inbox. Cons I would love for the tasks created in Akiflow to also flow into Notion. As far as I'm aware, I can only get Notion tasks to flow into Akiflow but not the other way around. So far I really loved and enjoyed the product. It's among the best experience I had with a software. Everything it's great and suits my habits Pros I love how easy to centralize your tasks from all your sources (mail, slack, notion, etc.) and to dispatch them on a calendar view. I love the reminder before tasks and meetings. I can manage my schedule with a glimpse of an eye. Terrific! Cons No cons encountered yet. Akiflow is the first one that let's me aggregate tasks from many places. Notion, Gmail, Slack, you name it... I can tag it, bookmark it, etc. and it ends up in Akiflow. I groom my tasks daily and move them from my inbox into specific days.. .And then at the start of each day, I drag my tasks onto my calendar where they live and ensure I don't book a meeting over top. Fantastic way to visualize your tasks and stay on top of things. Cons Waiting for a mobile app so I can manage my tasks natively in an easy way. Pros The two biggest pros are the ability to manage one's task list within a calendar, and the responsiveness of the Akiflow team on its Slack community. Cons I really hope they add import/export features soon - these are important. I double manage my to-do list in Excel and Akiflow because I am concerned about losing data. I shouldn't have to do this - it should be backed-up and exportable. I also hope they add HIPAA compliance so I can use my work email and calendar here too. I get all my key tasks, scheduled calls, tasks assigned to me, all with specific categories all in one place. Pros For me, the most powerful part is the hotkeys and the ability to switch between views, events, tasks, and more just by using hotkeys. I can also integrate my slack, email, todoist, google calendar, and notion and get all the tasks in one place and that just is the most amazing thing about akiflow. I used to manage my time randomly, procrastinating tasks and forgetting a lot of not urgent (but important) things to do. With Akiflow I started considering my week as a clear, defined itinerary with no more deviations or bumps on the road. Plus, I really like how deep you can go in organising your tasks, using different layers of control on them (tags, projects...). This helps me when I start feeling overwhelmed with too many tasks and I need to prioritise them quickly. Also, the thing that Akiflow automatically creates a task about an important email, and when you open the task you find the link that takes you directly to that email is absolutely awesome. Akiflow has become invaluable for this - a dashboard of productivity and a catch-all to make sure nothing gets forgotten about. Cons The biggest thing it's missing is an iOS app - but this is already being worked on. And I'm happy to wait for a product that's been thought-out and not rushed. I think they are the best bang for the buck at the moment. Susama is better at surfacing tasks and weekly planning, but there is no command bar to easily enter one-off tasks. Motion manages and plans tasks automatically much better, but comes in at twice the cost and is also only in browser. Pros Two things I love the most: 1) The command bar - A quick shortcut will instantly pop-up a dialogue to enter a task. Perfect for capturing small tasks coming out of meetings. By far the best tool I've used that made task entry so easy! 2) The google calendar sync - I love being able to block of times dedicated to certain tasks. It allows me to prioritize my day and protect myself from 'meeting' bloat. Cons You can bring in tools like asana, clickup, notion and then bring those tasks into your calendar. If you have large project plans, I found that sorting through these tasks can be burdensome. Yes, there are ways to filter, but still would need some refinement. Review Source HA Hussain A. Pros \- Ability to easily create tasks and assign them to projects - Mac shortcut to create a task on the fly Cons \- Lacks calendar automation features (e.g. projects being bound to different calendars, e.g. personal tasks book time in personal calendar) - Task organisation is not the best - sometimes I struggle finding tasks I created, and it's quite easy to forget them if you don't schedule them right away - Pricing seems a bit high - Akiflow is definitely not cheap! The capture features are so intuitive for me. The dev team is extremely kind and responsive. Cons My only complaint about the product is the price. I'm utilizing Akiflow alongside other personal data/knowledge management tools. I think the price is a bit high for a tool that doesn't meet all of my needs, but it does what it does so well that I'm willing to pay it, and am lucky enough to be able to. Pros It is a task management and project planning software that I find very interesting and good. I highly recommend it to everyone. Cons It's good software but what I don't have is its web version which doesn't respond correctly. It needs updating from time to time.
