Pros We wanted a really visual way to plan and share our projects with our clients and team. There are many Gantt tools out there but many are either expensive or ugly, or both! We found Online Gantt to be just brilliant - really clear to use, really nice to look at and has some really great features - but is still very simple to setup and use. Cons We haven't found any issues yet - in an ideal world you might perhaps be able to see multiple projects in a single overview in order to plan - but to be honest what is nice about Online Gantt is that it is very simple and lightweight, and this functionality might make it over-complex! Much like other sites such as draw.io this is hard to beat for smaller teams and entrepeneurs who do not need the bloat of a SAS offering. For small teams it is perfect. Cons The limitations of the download bandwidth. However, it is a free product so this is up to the developers. They are very visual and let you know at every moment how good (or bad) you are according to your initial plan. I am not a heavy user of Gantt charts, so a free tool such as "Online Gantt" works well for me. It allows me to schedule and plan my academic articles. It offers the essential elements to configure a Gantt chart: visual design, flexibility in moving dates, dependencies from tasks, and keeping track of your progress for every portion of the project. I use it, also, when I want to explain to other colleagues (my department, for example) about a research project. In this sense, it is not as astonishing as similar apps, but it lets you get cool images for inserting in my presentations. Pros \-It is free -The interface is intuitive, easy to use, modify, and track progress. -You can customize colors for every task. -Good export tool (so you can insert your Gantt Chart in presentations or reports).-The switch from Project View to Resource View is functional. Cons \-In the free version, you need to save your Gantt chart to your computer (but you can load it every time you want later, so it is not a big deal)-You need to change dependencies by clicking the "Edit" button.
