Evolve Permitting Reviews
"Totally Streamlined our Process, Increased Customer Satisfaction, and Improved Employee Engagement"
Overall: With the implementation of Evolve permitting module, we have reduced phone calls from over 100 per day to less than 10. We have reduced permit turnaround times by up to weeks. We have gained so much efficiency that we have been able to hold off on hiring additional permit tech staff to process permits. Overall, we are extremely satisfied.
Pros: The online ease of use for customers and staff has been a real game changer for our department. We have gone from pushing paper through an inefficient process to all online review, which has improved efficiency, reduced staff and customer frustrations, and saved time and money in the development review process.
Cons: The IGinspect app has some room for improvement that we have discussed with our Infovision project team. It lacks some features that the previous inspections app had, but Infovision has listened to us about it and is working on upgrading the app to include new features.
"Permitting software"
Overall: We are able to provide online permitting which proved to be extremely valuable during the pandemic.
Pros: The ability to have complaints/permits/projects all in one system. All of the users related to Permitting in our county can all access the system and we can monitor all reviews. On the permit side, our inspectors are entering inspections in the field, customer/building gets results emailed to them in real time. Also all of our customers can apply online from home if they prefer. The system is used by Building Code, Environmental Health, Fire Marshal, Stormwater, Planning/Zoning and Public Works Engineering.
Cons: Things are constantly evolving in the Permitting world so as long as we are able to continue to keep up with these changes inside of the software there are no concerns from us!
"Evolve Permitting & Inspection Review"
Overall: This software was our first web-based solution implemented by our organization. It greatly reduced the amount of office walk-ins as well as phone calls. Also, the function of being able to upload all documentation associated with the project has made the retrieval process much smoother.
Pros: The implementation team worked closely with our staff to develop the system to meet our specific needs. The software is user friendly for internal as well as external use.
Cons: Notification for resubmittals could be easier.
"Company knows the permitting process"
Overall: The customization that is built in to the software makes for a great end product that we continue to improve.
Pros: Plan review process extremely fluid. Easy access from your workflow to all pertinent information needed to complete plan review. Customize plan review comments to each template.
Cons: Honestly not any features about the software that I don't like. It integrated well with our previous system.
"Excellent Permit, Code Enforcement and Planning Software"
Overall: Overall Evolve has really helped our Department in efficency and transparency. The online workflow for inspections saves phone calls or trips back to the office or to another side of town as inspection requests come in. The planning site plan review module has been great for keeping track of reviews and having the ability to see comments from other reviewers on the project in one place.
Pros: The features that are most useful are - The abilty for contractors to view results of plan reviews and inspections online. The fully customizeable software for our own City to match our needs. The ability to interact with GIS. The ability for contractors to make inspection requests online. The ability to track cases of code enforcement. The customizeable reports are great for collecting data to use in measuring for strtegic planning. The software is easy to use and is very simple for customers to use for online permit and plan submittals.
Cons: Something that could be improved is the contact portion for an account as we have had some negative feedback from employees of contractiors that they receive emails that don't relate to projects they are working on. This happens when there are multiple contacts for a single account.
