Always a great experience with them, very helpful and one thing that I love personally is that I can do any type of report. If they don’t have it, they’ll make it for me!

Pros

Works as it should. From employee to admin! Definitely always had a problem getting all this integrated. Works with everything

Cons

Not much. I wish it would work a little bit more integrated with point click care. But I’m sure with the API. This is possible in the future.

Since joining Empeon, I have found payroll to be a quick, smooth, and efficient process. Empeon always ensures that all is set in place and notifies us should payroll need to be submitted early or if there are expected technical issues.

Pros

As payroll coordinator, my experience with Empeon is great! Firstly, the payroll process each week is a breeze. I can import all time efficiently, including all sick and OT. Employee updates can be managed on the portal, and any sensitive information (ie taxes) cannot be done unless updated with a form. This allows the employees to keep their profile updated and takes away some basic HR work from us.

Cons

Overall, the customer service is great! I can reach an associate right away over the phone or via email. However, I did find that when I needed assistance with something more complex the response was not as efficient as needed.

My experience with Empeon has been overwhelmingly positive. Their software is the most robust I've seen, and tailor-made for healthcare companies. They have excellent customer support and are always developing to meet their clients' needs.

Pros

It has an excellent interface making it super easy for new users to navigate and is full of custom features making healthcare payroll a breeze!

Cons

There are occasional temporary bugs, which can affect different parts of the software, but the scope is usually small and the support team is always quick to resolve them.

We’ve had a great experience with Empeon. Their customer service team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond to help us whenever we need support. It’s clear they truly care about their clients and take pride in providing top-notch service. Highly recommended! We love the open enrollment option and the onboarding is great. Tasks are amazing! And they have great alerts and reminders to help you never forget details for payroll!

Cons

Great overall experience. Some more customization in the reporting section. And also the open enrollment session should allow us to collect a signature from the employee enrolling.

Empeon is great. I have been using Empeon for almost ten years. Other systems aren't as good as Empeon.

Pros

Empeon is great. Very easy to use and great customer service. I would highly recommend Empeon to any company for payroll and employee management.

Cons

The PTO calculations isn't great. There is no way to retro PTO. There is no way to enter PTO as of a certain date.

Overall my experience with Empeon has been positive. I can not say enough great things about the payroll and H.R portion of the programs. Very easy to navigate.

Pros

Empeon's payroll and attendance system is top tier. It's a seamless process that can be done in minutes. I am very pleased with the new updates.

Cons

It took a while for us to get some items implemented that are needed for our particular facility. We still have some outstanding items, however we are constantly being informed of any and all updates.

Overall I've had a very positive experience. We've been with Empeon in one form or another for almost 10 years and are very happy.

Pros

Ease of use. Intuitive design. Customer support is great. I usually always get through to someone who I am familiar with, who is well-acquainted with our account, and is able to help. The tax/ YE team is great to deal with.

Cons

In the pay entry screen, in the old design there used to be a grid view where all the employees were listed, and we used to be able to create a customized view for specific earning codes, so that we could enter earnings in one shot. This used to be super helpful, when entering e.g. bonuses to multiple employees. Unfortunately that was taken away.

Pros

I like the user interface, very easy to use and understand exactly what you are doing. I like the timecard/payroll audits provided. I love that you can send timecard adjustments directly in payroll. Voiding checks/Manual check process is easy and simple in Empeon.

Cons

The reporting - can't lock filters, can't add all fields to each report, no lookback reports. I also don't love that dollar bonus amounts can't be tagged to a specific date on timecard.

Overall, great system with a lot of perks - like it's reporting tools. The previous system we used didn't have as much customization.

Pros

We needed a system to process payroll and Empeon is one of the best there is. It's easy to use and manage employees. It's customizable, within reason. There's a lot of reporting data. Payroll timecards can be imported which is a huge time-saver and automates a lot of manual tasks.

Cons

A lot of backend implementation, takes a lot of time. The roles/permissions are confusing to set up.

Overall, once you work out the kinks which there are with any payroll company, it' was smooth sailing!

Pros

Customer support is responsive and accurate; you have a single team that gets to know your business and needs without explaining it over and over.

Cons

Our accountant found that some reporting functions were missing or he wanted customized ones. Empeon was able to create them after a bit of back and forth, but overall was happy with the results

They are always available. If you have a busy schedule they will work around it. Everyone seems to know all the in's and out's of payroll.

they are always available and willing to help. they go above and beyond and dont push off start dates

Cons

It would be nice if they spoke with our old payroll company directly and request what they need directly to them. it would be nice to have a video tutorial of the app when signing up for the first time as opposed to how to pdf's

My overall experience with Empeon has been extremely positive. Their customer service is helpful, responsive, and always willing to work with us whenever we need support.

Pros

I really like how clean and easy Empeon is to use. The system is simple for both employees and employers, and it makes payroll tasks much smoother.

Cons

The only thing I like least about Empeon is the billing feature, since we’ve had some challenges with it, but I’m confident they will improve it soon.
