If there is ever a question or help needed with anything you can just get on chat and get it taken care of. Pros It does everything, it's basically an all in one product. Cons There is a glitch (we are updated to G7) on the month goals where you have to manually go in and put zero on all the other providers that are not part of production for the month goal to show up properly. Utilize their training and resource center. If you can learn this software transitioning into any other dental mgmt software will be cake. With the dentrix you have the ability to be completely paperless with ease. Patient information is easily available. Sending and processing insurance claims and payments is very easy. Customer service access and response is easy either on phone or online. Pros All patient information is in one place. Cons Because we are a larger training facility, it is sometimes hard to fit in all the providers that we have. This is a work in progress. I prefer another software brand, however. Pros Dentrix has some valuable modules and some good support in the form of an online knowledge base. The online training is a little helpful, also. Cons There are many frustrating bugs in each new update and the Dentrix support line is frustrating, many times. It is the only software that i have been using for 10 years. They are constantly updating the software to better your practice. Pros This software is so user friendly it makes days at work so much easier. I can use dentrix blind folded thats how easy it is to use. I love all the icons and buttons. You can truly accomplish anything with this software. The reports are great too. Cons I don't like the fact that dentrix does not have an area for specialty dentist such as perio. Probably my favorite thing would be the ease of use! Cons I do wish that it were a little easier when there are glitches to fix them without having to have everyone out of the software. August 19, 2017 5.0 My day just goes really smooth when I have a dependable program I can depend on day in and day out. Pros Very easy to use! I use this program on a daily basis and don't have very many problems. If there is a problem techs get right on it. Dentrix conferences can definitely help you get the training you need as well. Cons Occasionally the program will run slow. But we just reboot our system and that usually fixes the problem. I had other concerns however after a weekend of training at a Dentrix conference most my areas of concern were addressed. It was my first time using it and I found it very easy to pick up and learn. I was proficient with it in under a week, more like a couple days. It has all the typical features for charting and notes like cartoon odontogram and streamlined treatment planning/findings. I was surprised at how easy it was to navigate and learn. The scheduling side of it was easy to use as well. I cant speak to the billing aspect of it. Cons I cant recommend this as better or worse than similar products. It gets the job done and is fine. Pros We have been using it for over 20 years so I am just really used to it at this point. I think it is fairly easy to navigate. Pros There is not much choice in dental software so you end up choosing between 2, Dentrix being one of them. Once you are established, you get used to it, but it never feels seamless or time-saving Cons Too numerous to list. Several times we have had to cancel patients b/c their "update" stops all computers from working until it is complete. Pros Dentrix helps the workflow of our clinic and we also utilize it to run reports on different areas of the clinic for analyzing for improvement. September 7, 2017 1.0 NEVER Cons After being pressured to have training by a certain amount of time, we scheduled due to this company pressuring me with an expiration of training and conversion. My Mother was sick with a brain tumor shortly after we purchased the software and they were unwilling to return it. They stated we would have a fee to return and it was in our best interest to hold onto it till we were ready for implement. This was in early September of 2016. My Mom passed March 6, 2017. My father had Pancreatic cancer and was ill. He died on the first day of training August 16, 2017. I was devastated and they could care less. No compassion in this corporation. They were unwilling to train me without a huge fee attached. I'm the dentist and can't use my own software. They would not even consider a price break in the cost of my training after my Fathers funeral. I'm sorry but it actually doesn't get worse than that. I found the departments were disconnected and the entire process frustrating. NEVER BUY DENTRIX. I will be sure to inform ALL my dental colleges and also anyone who asks me about software of their terrible customer service. Review Source SB Sheryl B. It definitely covers everything a dental office needs. Pros Dentrix understands the typical dental office and covers the needs adequately. Cons It is expensive. It is difficult to use in a very large practice. We have 10 hygienists. There are restraints with customizing and reporting with that many practitioners. Customer service is average.
