The platform collects and handles financial data from donors on behalf of its clients — yet fails to protect that data at a basic level. Credit card numbers are displayed unmasked via an SMS-delivered link, exposing people who never directly signed up for Fonzip but trusted it indirectly through the organizations they donated to. Any platform handling third-party payment data is obligated to follow PCI-DSS standards. Users and organizations considering Fonzip should be aware of these risks before entrusting donor data to this platform Pros The platform covers the basic donation collection use case and is easy to set up initially. It's easy to use but have problems with data security for donors Cons Serious security vulnerabilities. The magic link sent via SMS exposes personal data and full credit card numbers without masking. Critically, this affects donors — not just direct customers — meaning third-party individuals who trusted the platform's clients are also exposed. SMS is an unencrypted channel, and displaying unmasked card data violates PCI-DSS compliance standards. Security is our top priority, and we wish to set the record straight: Zero Credit Card Storage: Fonzip NEVER stores or handles full credit card numbers. All transactions process directly through bank-grade, PCI-DSS compliant gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, iyzico) owned directly by the NGOs. Technical Impossibility: Because card data never touches our servers, displaying unmasked card details via SMS or magic links is technically impossible. Even if we wanted to, accessing full card numbers is impossible for us. PCI-DSS compliance is a strict, objective standard. Any of the thousands of NGO administrators using Fonzip daily can easily confirm this. It has functions to meet the needs of companies, foundations, educational institutions and entrepreneurs. The best part is that when I have a question, I can get an answer immediately, it is very easy to contact the fonzip developers. they do their best and help until the problem is solved. Pros It has an easy user-friendly interface. I can easily receive and archive all applications and access them later. I can manage my forms. I can easily see the donations. Pros I love the current digital solutions that non-governmental organizations create in very important business items such as fundraising, donor relations and donor communication. I love that they make updates based on user feedback. It's nice to be able to communicate quickly. Who doesn't love a hard-working, visionary, harmonious teammate? Cons The fact that the system has the same features for all users can sometimes make things difficult.
