We are very satisfied with the complete transition to SAS. The program itself is also fantastic and gives us much better insight into the business. Monitoring the stores themselves as well as the stock status.

Pros

From my side, as a system administrator, what I like most is that since switching to SAS I don't have to think about backups, security, or database optimization.

Cons

Sometimes there is a long wait for resource scaling to complete, which sometimes leads to slowdowns in performance.

Solid and mature platform for retailers who need real depth in POS, inventory, and store operations tied to a full ERP. It scales from single-store to large chains, and the ecosystem around it (partners, ISVs, connectors) is well established. Like any large platform, the experience depends heavily on implementation quality and how well the partner understands both BC and the retail side. When that combination is right, it delivers; when it's not, the complexity shows. For Microsoft-aligned retailers, it remains one of the strongest options on the market.

Pros

The biggest strength is that LS Central is built directly on top of Business Central, so retail, inventory, finance, and POS run on one data model instead of being stitched together through integrations. That removes a lot of the reconciliation pain you see with separate POS and ERP stacks. The functional depth is genuinely strong for specialty retail and hospitality, with mature handling of items, variants, pricing, offers, loyalty, and cross-store replenishment. The POS is highly configurable, and the omnichannel pieces, including the LS Commerce/Shopify connector, give a realistic path to unified commerce without building everything from scratch.

Cons

Performance in SaaS environments is the area that needs the most attention. Some of the heavier flows, like statement posting and large transaction batches, can be SQL-intensive and behave noticeably slower than on-prem, especially under load. Telemetry helps, but root-cause analysis often requires deep familiarity with both BC and the LS extension. Documentation is improving but still uneven, and partners frequently have to fill gaps from experience. Hardware station and EFT setup also remains more fiddly than it should be in modern deployments.

Over the past 10 years, LS Retail has proven to be a reliable and scalable solution that grows with the business. It has significantly improved our operational efficiency across multiple branches — from inventory management to customer experience at the point of sale. The platform’s continuous updates and strong partner ecosystem have kept us ahead of industry demands. It’s not just a software — it’s a long-term strategic investment for any serious retail operation.

Pros

LS Retail is a powerful, all-in-one retail management solution that seamlessly integrates POS, inventory, and back-office operations on a single platform — eliminating the need for multiple disconnected systems. After 10 years of working with it, what stands out most is its deep integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, which gives unmatched visibility across the entire retail operation in real time

Cons

The initial implementation and customization can be complex and time-consuming, requiring skilled technical resources and careful planning — especially for large retail operations with multiple branches. Additionally, the learning curve for end-users can be steep without a structured training program in place.

LS Retail is company that provide a solutions focusing in retail and hospitality. I am using one of their product, LS NAV. The product was very rich features and functionality, its suite to any business process that i am facing for all client. Whenever, the client has a specific requirement, the system can be customized with some effort. Rich features always means high complexity. And, the product is quite expensive for small retail business. But, overall the system is fine.

Pros

Rich features and functionality, stable because it's an add-on on top of Dynamics NAV/365 BC that strong in the accounting. Configurable with needed of good knowledge of the system.

Cons

The support team is not really helpful. Quite expensive product.

Reasons for choosing LS Retail

Proven and stable on top of Dynamics NAV/365 BC.
