It has a fully- embedded drug interaction software and touch-screen capability is one of the benefits. Pros The fact that is so easy to learn and use.The software is very straight forward with no major stopping blocks. Cons That the report are sometimes hard to navigate. The system can become a bit slow at times. Reasons for choosing Dental-Exec Dental-Exec was just more transparent offers more and are very easy to use. Pros Continued improvements and added features. Very knowledgeable and helpful support. Perio charting provides us with the information we need in a format that is clear and adaptable to my preferences. DSN is my third office management program and as a company has always provided stellar support, beyond any other dental software company I have dealt with in over 35 years of practice. We have been using Perio Exec since 2003. As our practice continues to grow, Perio Exec continues to meet and exceed our expectations! Pros This practice management software provides our office an easy way to integrate important practice management statistics with customizable health management options. It bridges to our Dexis, our MindRay surgical monitors, implant inventory tracking by 2D scanner, electronic verification of dental benefits for many of the dental plans, NEA Fast-Attach, Lexicomp (with current updates)- all with one click of their icon on the customizable toolbar. If we have a question or an issue, their extremely knowledgeable support team is available from 8am EST (5am Pacific) until late into the evening. We get updates regularly. We have worked with other software programs for practice management and EMR; however, this one delivers on all points. Our conversion was well planned and we were only down a limited time. Their ability to schedule trainers and support staff on the east coast make it easier . Cons Disappointed that there have been some negative reviews on the web and don't understand why. Outdated hardware or undertrained team members maybe? I would suggest if anyone is having trouble with an older version that they investigate the updated V18 and its features. It's not an inexpensive option, but I feel it's the best customizable software for periodontal offices available. Too many error readings that cause program to shutdown, which results in loss of information and is a big inconvenience. Cost may be a benefit but then again, you get what you pay for. Pros Esthetically version 14 and 16 (just came out) is better than version 11. The scheduler is okay. Not great but OK. They've updated some features that are cool but lacking others that should be there. Cons We have Perio Exec which caters to Periodontists. I'll be honest and say of the 3 softwares I've used as a student, resident and practice owner this is the worst of what I've used. Their newest software lags (even on the highest equipment that they speced out to meet their requirements) and for 2017 technology it's a let-down as far as features. There are some cool features but then they are missing "obvious" ones. Pretty confusing.
