Pretty good overall experiencing using. It keeps track of time for everyone as well so if you have metrics for like a call center, it would be benefit.

Pros

I like the chat and discussion features the most as they are quick and can be used in live action while working through calls

Cons

It can not be used for accurate documentation as like I said within Lowes we use it live and it has over a thousand different people communicating through it every minute. So a lot happens quickly using chatter.

Pros

Chatter provides real-time updates on team activities, making it easy to stay informed on project progress and team communications and it provides a centralized platform for team communication and collaboration, making it easy for team members to share ideas and work together on projects.

Cons

Chatter can take some time to learn and get used to, especially for users who are new to the Salesforce ecosystem and it can be a security risk if proper security measures are not in place

Overall very positive. It is a good integrated product to use with Salesforce

Pros

Salesforce Chatter allows us to collaborate and work together on projects and tasks, even though we work hybrid. With real-time updates, we can stay on top of changes and make decisions faster.

Cons

While Chatter integrates well with Salesforce products, integrating it with third-party tools has been challenging and needs further development work.

Chatter is awesome to use with Salesforce and helped us make the most of Salesforce. We are growing! Because of the drawbacks nobody in my team really liked using it long term and on a daily basis.

Pros

I use chatter for our Salesforce essentials communications and it does work well for this purpose. The newsfeed style updates are easy to read. Of course it's similar to social media and familiar to most users. @mentions make it easy to confirm a particular person will see a conversation. When using with Salesforce it's convenient because everything is easily accessible from where you are, it's easy to check something on Salesforce and then continue your conversation.

Cons

Chatter is limited in what it offers and in how it can be used. I would want all of our communication together but chatter only supports short messages without formatting or photos. It's easy to miss important updates or conversations and things get jumbled up quickly.
