It's a very user friendly tool, can be integrated into both GoogleDocs and Word and prevents me from messing up my references. I also love that it can change citation styles with pretty much a click of a button. Pros Paperpile is great - convenient and easy to use. I love that it can automatically change the reference style with zero effort and it can find the paper I want to cite by title DOI, link, whatever I throw at it. I reecently stumbled on a bug after Google updated - the Paperpile support team were really responsive, provided a work around and then got back to me when they had patched the software. Overall, just a stellar experience and I'll be using Paperpile for years to come. Cons Not much to dislike. At most, it would be that every now and then the ciation is imported incorrectly, but given the multitude of formats that papers come in these days I find that a forgivable fault. I have not a lot of time using it but I have seen a huge change when it comes to my writing process. I save time citing and I can dedicate more time to organizing and expressing my ideas. With Paperpile I can focus on what matters in my reports. Pros I love how easy it is to collect all my papers while looking for more information and allowing me to site them when I need them. It is fast and tracks multiple places like Research Gate, something I couldn't do before. It is intuitive and since is connected to google docs as an extension I can have my info wherever I need it. On that occasion I did an exhaustive test on the application, but I ended up opting for another alternative, which suited my needs better. Pros Easy-to-use interface with low learning curve. Clean and beautiful look, far ahead of the other more common existing scientific research support systems. Easy to organize work. The cost, although higher than many competidors, is still fair enough due to the overall higher quality of the product. Cons For many people, the fact that the application works only in a browser can be an advantage. For me however it wasn't. I prefer applications installed on desktop.
