I currently do not use it anymore a there are tons of better web builders available today that don't even cost a penny. Still a good software if you want to learn a bot of coding and seeing how things work but it really isn't practical for me in today's world. Pros It is a powerful website builder if you have to time to learn it You don't really need to know a lot of coding to use but having an idea of coding can be useful It can help youprove on your coding as it will tell you when you make a mistake immediately Cons It is not always responsive enough for different platforms and browsers. Not easy to learn and adapt to. You need time and lots of practice to get used to the interface and most of its functions. Adds a ton of codes to your paragraphs that you really do not need. It does support modern HTML5 elements and most scripting languages like PHP and JavaScript, along with JQuery. It can help with visualizing CSS elements like margins and padding. But all-in-all it's still raw IDE for basic editing specifically geared toward web coding. Pros If you're an coding purist, Dreamweaver is a solid IDE for writing your own HTML/CSS/JavaScript and getting it directly to your sever. For most small biz or personal websites, this is probably fine. Anything requiring more robust integrations takes more planning, engineering and resources. Cons It requires a subscription and the Adobe Creative Cloud app which is so intrusive to computers, it needs its own program to uninstall it – even on Macs. The main issue is it is not a "no code" software, but something between an editor and IDE and deployment platform. So after initial happiness the limits become clear rather quickly and I moved to proprietary code rather then fiddling with Dreamweaver. Pros At first I liked the generated code coming from Dreamweaver but after getting more profound in coding I realized that there are several moments where the generic code gets in your way and becomes not as efficient as proprietary code. Cons The generated code is done in a way where it works for Dreamweaver but trying to get any real programmer to work on the code becomes a problematic task. It does require a lot of setting up and system resources to work effectively, but the result is definitely worth the effort. For instant WYSIWYG style editing and version control it does a great job, and the built-in error checking and prompts are very intuitive and help to avoid common syntax and logic errors. Pros I love the clean workspace and level of customisation available to tailor the UI to my needs. Cons For software that I don't use frequently, the subscription cost is a little prohibitive, so I frequently cancel and restart when needed. That said, I still return to the software for editing complex html and CSS sites, so it isn't a deal-breaker. Pros I like the quick drag and drop features. You can drag and drop many elements instead of writing the codes. I love it integration feature , which enables one to integrate with databases. You can actually build and run application locally on your laptop then export to cloud when ready. Cons Sometimes your connections to databases will not work even when you have done the right configuration.
