### "Makes Securtiy Awareness Easy to Understand"

May 10, 2026

5.0

My overall experience is very good. The platform is easy to use, the phishing email training feels realistic and practical. The quizzes and challenges make learning more engaging instead of boring. Customer support is helpful, and interface is clean and simple. Overall the training quality and security awareness benefits makes it worthwhile.

Pros

The training which they provide does not feel bored. The fake phishing emails arrive naturally in the inbox, so one can learn whil working instead of sitting through long cyber awareness videos. The user interface is very user friendly and value for money.

Cons

One thing I dislike after using this platform for a long time, some phishing simulations can become predictable. The software mainly focuses on Email phishing challenges and quizzes, while modern threats like fake calls, messaging scams and deepfake attacks are not covered enough. The pricing is bit expensive.

### "Hoxhunt is worth!"

September 21, 2022

Well overall, i would recomend Hoxhunt to every company that is dealing with a huge load of emails, as this is the best way to stay aware with not trusting mails. Also the reward system of huxhunt is pretty motivating.

Pros

It takes you out of the Routine, out of feeling safety and staying more allert.

Cons

Well funny to say but, sometimes Hoxhunt was too good, i was not expecting to read a hoxhunt mail.

### "Review of Security Features"

September 20, 2022

5.0

Very good

Pros

What I like about the software is that it is intuitive to the process in your everyday use of Outlook / emails. There is not alot of steps you need to make. See something, say something etc..

Cons

Trickery - it's not necessarily bad, just that a couple times I feel like I was duped when either missing an email or deleted knowing it wasn't for me.

### "Easy to Use and Fun to Progress"

March 1, 2026

5.0

The Hoxhunt user interface is well designed and easy to use. I enjoy the game-like features, such as leveling up and leaderboards, which keep users engaged. I also haven't had any issues that required contacting customer support.

Pros

I like how Hoxhunt sends realistic-looking phishing emails, which helps us learn how to spot real-world security threats.

Cons

I wish Hoxhunt had the same phishing report button on the web as it does on mobile. Right now, I can only see the button when using my mobile device. It would also be helpful if it sent alerts or notifications if I accidentally clicked on a phishing link and directed me to Hoxhunt to review what happened.

### "Fun gamified anti-phishing"

May 24, 2025

5.0

Pros

Gamifies cybersecurity and anti-phishing. Clever fake emails, ability to "phish a friend" to test your colleagues to make it even more fun.

Cons

Hoxhunt's add-on inside of Outlook could be a little slow at times to process and delete an email after reporting it. It's a manner of 5-10 seconds but still a bit slow for something normally instant.

### "Effective, Fun, and Practical Security Awareness Training"

October 4, 2024

5.0

Hoxhunt has been an invaluable tool for reinforcing our company’s security culture. The ease of use, combined with comprehensive and engaging training modules, has made it simpler to keep everyone informed and aware of the latest security threats. It not only effectively reduces risks but also cultivates a proactive mindset around security best practices. Overall, Hoxhunt stands out as a must-have for any organization serious about cybersecurity training.

Pros

Hoxhunt simplifies the process of keeping the entire team informed about the most recent security policies and best practices. Its interactive and engaging training sessions ensure that security awareness is always a top priority for everyone, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable. The platform's content is consistently updated, and its focus on real-world threats is highly practical.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about Hoxhunt. If I had to pick something, it would be great to have more customization options for the training sessions. Nevertheless, the "pause training" feature is very helpful in ensuring that no one falls behind, which is a thoughtful touch.

### "One small, but incredibly effective, email addon!"

July 9, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love how Hoxhunt gamifies the concept of phishing scams. It helps keep users aware of scams and does a great job showing users with only similar scores as you. I don't know all of the employees working at my company, but when I do see someone I know around my score, I screenshot it and send it to them. It makes for a good laugh and friendly competition in the workplace. We have even had moments in staff meetings laughing about how someone once again was excited to get an email, but ended up being hoxhunted.

Cons

I don't have complaints about Hoxhunt. I have submitted feedback on aspects I would like to see differently, and the company actually has changed the aspects I wasn't a big fan of. So at this moment and time, I just enjoy using Hoxhunt.

### "Fun and Educative platform"

April 30, 2024

5.0

Pros

Hoxhunt has given me more awareness about spam and junk emails and how they compromise our information, more than any other similar platform I have used. The feature I found most attractive is the simulated spam emails and how we get points when we identify and report the emails. It feels like I am playing a game but actually I am getting educated at the same time i get a sense of achievement when I unlock more and more levels.

Cons

I recently reported an actual spam email. The initial response was the status was unsure. I was told I might not get the result of that reporting but your team will do everything in the background. I was unsatisfied with it. It was the time I actually reported a spam email and I wanted to hear the results after the analysis.

### "Really helps ingrain the right email security mindset, without hassle"

September 20, 2022

5.0

It's great and I'm happy my coworkers enjoy and share what they learn about phishing.

Pros

It's extremely easy to use and not manual setup needed for the user if implemented by an organization. Simulated trainings can be sent to non opted-in users and easy instructions help them get enrolled. Simulations ramp up to become very realistic, and even very knowledgeable users have to do double-takes. Very short, non-intrusive, learning snippets for each simulation explain things like sense of urgency, how to check links and best practices well. Users in my teams have over the past two years started reporting anything suspicious, and it's a big difference from before implementing Hoxhunt.

Cons

I think the training ceiling could be increased a bit to avoid having users instinctively report (expecting a simulation training) and treat an email as 'safe' if it turns out not to be a threat simulation.

### "Wonderful experience with Hoxhunt learning journey "

April 30, 2024

5.0

Pros

Hoxhunt training is a part of our organization. In day to day world every day, we receive many spam, phishing, and malware in our inboxes. Hoxhunt training included great quality testing mail for its users to identify and earn badges. That not only generates learning interest but also provides broader knowledge and competition among members of the organization to see their rank & where they stand in the smart world. In a world full of cyber-attacks this is the most essential training.

Cons

I am not a great fan of the calculation of the time taken for reporting a Hoxhunt training mail feature, because maybe someone is busy with other activities and might report once he/she has access to mail. In that case, their rank is going down as the time of reporting as soon as a mail is received also getting calculated.

### "Gamified experience for phishing simulations and other threats"

September 21, 2023

5.0

Hoxhunt training and outlook plugin + smartly created simulated threats create a seamless learning and awareness package for companies who want to not only train, but refresh those perishable skills often. I think that's where Hoxhunt shines - it integrates to Outlook and has some gamified experience and leaderboards to keep the employees motivated to participate.

Pros

Simulated threats are really good. Trainings are easy to comprehend for even not so technical persons. Repetition of basics is good method to learn and keep awareness high to counter the real world threats.Hoxhunt add-in to Outlook works well and can be used as "no-brainer" check for any even slightly suspicious emails. If it's not training and still suspicious, then I would give it extra round of inspection and/or report to company IT.

Cons

I only recently found out that also my mobile Outlook app has the Hoxhunt plugin. I had skipped reporting some training mails before finding out that it can be also done in my mobile phone since I'm not always in front of computer. There may be limitations also on Outlook for Web - if that gets later added I would assess that then the coverage is spot on.

### "Protect your company by protecting yourself"

July 1, 2024

5.0

It's very positive, I enjoy to use the product since about 5 years.

Pros

Hoxhunt is a perfect security awareness increasing tool, sending users authentic-looking, but phishing emails, which require immediate actions. The most complicated thing is that emails content can be quite closer to your current situation (e.g. you will have a business trip in couple of days and suddenly receive hotel's cancellation, which was booked for you). So it's not that simple to correctly distinct what is true.

Cons

Sometimes it can be so "real", so your blood pressure rises. "Your car on corporate parking has been scratched", "You need to pay an additional fee" and so forth.

### "Awareness of emails received in the Organization"

May 31, 2024

5.0

Chep is a global Company, & have invested in Hoxhund, which is such a good tool for the users to be aware of spams/Hox emails, as the fraudsters are increasing every day, this is an excellent tool to protect company's statutory & other information.

Pros

response time is excellent, When, not sure, you can still click on the Hox tab, they will respond, whether it's a positive hit & advise what you need to do. awards are given to encourage you to be alert of unwanted & dangerous emails, that could have an impact on the business information.

Cons

to be honest, I have not had any issues with Hoxhunt, at this present moment

### "A blend of education, engagement and interaction"

April 8, 2024

5.0

All in all, I personally learned about a bunch of different types of attacks. The good thing about this is that you not only learn about the attack itself, but also how to prepare for the attacks.

Pros

Hoxhunt offers training, knowledge bases, customisation, great UI and design, all kept simple and easy to use. It is also relatively easy to implement. The customer support is also helpful as you can also submit feature requests. I use Hoxhunt about 2 times a day because of the email training and sometimes because of the built-in training within Hoxhunt. All in all, it is a learning tool that is very easy to integrate because of all the features mentioned above.

Cons

Nothing in particular, maybe the leaderboard needs an overhaul, its a bit confusing.

### "Gamification of Security"

April 23, 2024

5.0

Definitely paying more attention to cybersecurity with email now than ever before.

Pros

Instant feedback when a test message is either detected or followed by a user. I was trapped once but thankfully it was a linkedin related message I opened on a phone. BUSTED! Sends periodic realistic scam-type emails to see if you're paying attention. Quickly evaluates real spam and scam messages that you click the Hoxhunt button for in Outlook. Works seamlessly. Keeps track of your progress with an overall armor rating that people around you easily see when you get a message. Also people actively talk about catching test messages now keeping security on our minds between annual trainings or corporate reminders.

Cons

Doesn't seem to do much about spam emails. Reporting them doesn't seem to get tracked.

### "Engaged training for staff"

May 2, 2024

5.0

It's a good tool to help keep all staff trained and up to date on new security threats and what to be mindful of in lots of different situations.

Pros

There is a good mix of tests and information on what to do/not to do. Great leaderboard to see where you are with your peers and across the other businesses.

Cons

If you're on leave and miss a threat email it seems as though you have missed it because of not noticing the threat and counts against you. There should be a longer time frame to report the email.

### "It's useful and actully fun!"

June 19, 2024

5.0

Honestly I really liked it! Something new across the boring work inbox. Starting from the "usual" training phishing and scam emails - you can report them via hoxhunt and also get a micro (but useful) explanation about what have you just reported. Later - "spicy mode" - sometimes really believable and hard to detect. Also the gamification aspect is surprisingly fun. By reporting and completing micro trainings you unlock achievements and upgrade your "shield". It's a first time I saw such mandatory thing be quite enjoyable. Nice! :)

Pros

Explanation of security and phishing Training spotting phishing and scam Fun Now I'm paranoid of every unusual email I receive

Cons

Dashboard takes time to find, I always forget where it is Vacation mode still sends you emails sometimes

Pros

The fact that it constantly keeps you on your toes and the "competition" with your colleagues in the ranking list.

Cons

### "Must have for corporations and employees "

September 24, 2022

5.0

Pros

It makes one aware of the evolving methods of the attacks used. Keeps you informed and also allows to report potential threats which help organization keep the networks and data safe. In today's business environment it is very important to have data protection. Most of "learning emails" are skipped by users but with Hoxhunt users directly get involved and can understand in real time how much careful and aware they have to be not just while using the organization email but their own personal stuff as well.

Cons

More stimulation emails as the user progresses up the level.

### "Good education tool for employees"

September 22, 2022

5.0

Pros

This is a nice tool to educate the employees how to stay away from spam & phishing attacks. Some mails are so convincing that if people are not careful, they will click on the risky links which can then in background wreak havoc on the system. The tool has a convenient interface & regular way for sending mails in a way which makes employee think if this mail is genuine or not. And while doing so the employee is gaining knowledge as well as the system is totally safe.

Cons

Nothing annoying about this tool. I sometimes see some slowness while the dashboard opens up and takes us through the learnings but its tolerable.

### "User assessment of Hoxhunt Outlook plugin"

September 22, 2022

It has worked to make me more aware of phishing attempts and to scrutinized many emails.

Pros

Cons

None. I am only a user, so I do not use any features other than the Phishing or Spam filters
