Pros

  • I like that it is from the Microsoft corporation so there is already a familiarity with things. You know that it will be great quality and a cut above the rest.

  • It comes with beautiful templates that are easy-to-customize and can be effortlessly shared or exported for print and web.

  • My experience with Microsoft Publisher is quite good, we are doing excellent with this application.

  • What I like most is that this software is integrated with an office license, which is good.

Cons

  • Publisher struggles with complicated layouts and autoformats things in such a way that it is often hard to predict how it will react to changes to the layout.

  • This program is okay only if your goal is to used it as an academic tool. But using it to make publications for a real life business is a BAD idea.

  • Page manipulation can be difficuly and measurements units by default in inch.

  • It was not cloud based so we were limited to using it from only on work Station. Also seemed difficult to use.

"Versatile tool to improve Professionalism"

Overall: Overall it is a user-friendly application in documentation. It helps me a lot in creating my documents in my day to day work.

Pros: This is a user-friendly application compared to other apps considering document management where I can save progress ( on PC or cloud) and continue later. Files can be stored and saved in a variety of formats as per the company's requirements. Multiple people working on the same project can easily edit the document by giving permission to access it. Document search is also accurate. Searching for texts makes easier since it can find even if the text is misspelled.

Cons: It does not support the latest features. Some Features can be added compared with other desktop publishing software referring to typography.

"Publisher Works "

Pros: Publisher provides a great deal of templates that can be used in manipulated to fit the needs of whatever project you may be working on.

Cons: Some of the content seems a little bit dated and old. There are faster and better programs available online, as well as Microsoft Word tends to work as good, if not better than publisher.
