It provides a central, standard way to store proposal resposnes, and streamline the editing process. The stress level in writing proposals was exponentially better once we implemented Privia! Pros I like that Privia allows my company to have a centralized location for all proposal responses. The foldering system makes it easy to set up drafts, versions. and review copies. We never have to wonder the history of our response from first draft to final submissions. I also like the permissions function -- unless I give someone write permisssions, they cannot make changes to my document. It's frustrating to look a draft and see edits/additions/changes made...but not by me. I love that I can refer back to previous proposal responsdes via the library artchittecture to see how we addressed a requirement previously, With Privia, all writing, editing, and reviews are organized and take place in one setting. It helps us stay organized and ensure that our writing and review process is streamlined and effective. Cons The system takes training and practice to learn -- that learning curve can be steep! However, once they ins and outs of the system are mastered? It's simple as pie to use. The first few weeks are a lot of trial and error, I find, though. Reasons for choosing Privia We were very impressed with the functionality it provides...and the excellent customer support whenever issues arise. What did we do before Privia? There were several versions of files on different servers, making it a nightmare to find the final submission of previously submitted proposals. Pros Privia has helped us organize all of our proposals into one streamlined, easy-to-use directory, as well as provides accurate tracking and reporting of all in-process proposals, and previously submitted proposals. We have also an extensive corporate library of templates, resumes, and past performances stored in Privia. The version control feature has eliminated any confusion of which is the master file on opportunites. Cons Are there any? Pros Out of the box precanned worklfows enable faster time to production. Modifying workflows, folders, etc is quick and easy allows faster time to roll out new pursuit workflows. Alerts and dash boarding, drillable reports make it a one stop shop. Cons Data base limitations on free fields. Reporting limitations, complexity (both pro and con). Programability..there are certain things you just cannot do to customize like add scirpts to a page. Cannot use directly out of the box without customization (complexity).
