My overall experience with Photoshop Elements was quite positive. I used it to create many promotional pictures for the company I am working for. My current idea is that this software is the perfect choice for hobbyists and starters in the Graphic Design Industry. However, if you are an experienced professional, it may have too many technical limitations.

Pros

I had the opportunity to use Photoshop Elements in a professional context, given that I had to create promotional material for our company. I concretely enjoyed it for many reasons. Firstly, it is easy to use and learn, given that it has a simplified interface, which is more approachable for beginners. In addition, it allows its users to progress from basic to more advanced techniques without being overwhelmed. Another positive aspect is that you can use it through a one-time purchase, which is a perfect approach for starters. In fact, it can be more cost-effective for people who don't need a lot of updates. Furthermore, it has strong and easy photo editing tools, which allow you to crop, resize images and adjust brightness and contrast.

Cons

I am also aware that Photoshop Elements has some faults and disadvantages. Firstly, its editing tools are quite limited. For example, it doesn't include advanced retouching, compositing, and precision editing features. In addition, its layer capabilities are reduced. This software presents selection tools which are less precise for complex tasks. I also discovered that it has limited support for professional workflows. In fact, it lacks advanced colour management, CMYK editing, and other tools. Lastly, it doesn't have a lot of AI and automation features.

Pros

This is an absolute beast of photo editor the amount of options and presets this software has is amazing.

It took a bit of research and watching online tutorials to learn how to effectively use this software.

As a user since the first version, I highly recommend Photosshop Elements. I use it nearly every day to fix a photo or 2, and something many photos. I love that I can share photos with family and friends. I can create gifts for people that they like/love. Adobe continues to improve the product each year making it easier to use with more features. I love this. I love using the product

Photoshop Elements provides you with the best photo editing tools at a cost you can afford. You also get guided edits to simplify your editing of photos, and have many otions for creating photo projects that stand out above all the rest. You can restore old photos, colorize photos, and so much more. I can not say enogh good about this product

Cons

I have no cons about photoshop Elements. It is always improving and they listen to their customers to improve their product.

I have been in the field of technology for over 20 years, and this was one of the first programs that I learned to use in around the turn of the century. I still use it today when I work on websites, or graphics projects.

Pros

I find the myriad of options to customize a project in as many ways as you can dream up to be an essential tool for anyone working in the industry. There are free tutorials to teach people how to use its many functions so that an beginner can become a master.

Cons

The downloadable and installable version of the program can slow your system down a bit, as it uses a lot of resources, but there is also a cloud-based version available

Pros

The full version of Photoshop (with Creative Cloud) is of course better and more powerful, but this is a great option for people who don't want to pay the monthly fee. You buy it once, it's your forever.

Cons

I use a pretty old version of PS Elements. It's still great, but missing so many features. With Creative Cloud's subscription service, you always have access to the newest version. With elements, I'd have to pay full price for the latest edition.

i am pretty much satisfied with my experience but if the subscription cost reduces and it gets lighter on system that would be a great thing

Pros

As a photographer I use Photoshop Elements more and more each day because their AI features and instant backup feature helps me a lot in saving up my space and editing an image resulting an unbelievable result. Object detection and picture clearing features are unbelievable in doing their job for perfect picture results.

Cons

The software is a bit expensive and it is not easy for beginners. the software size on the computer is huge and it uses a lot of RAM while processing and for a person like me who do a lot of multi tasking it is hard for me to keep up and my system heats up

To conclude, the software is good for casual editors who do not want to go all the way with adobe photoshop, however, if you are on the fence between the two I would spend the money and get the more expensive version as it has many more features (does need more learning) and feels better in terms of what you are getting for the money.

Pros

It comes with all the features you would expect from a mid-tier photoshop and all well explained and easy to use including a wide range of presets such as filters or styles. The software is also relatively inexpensive with a one-time price and a fraction of the more professional photoshop.

Cons

The range of features is limited, but with the cheaper price what can you expect? The layout and user interface are fine but not attractive, even at the cheaper price it is pricey for what you are ultimately getting.

What I like the most about this software is the editing and all the tools adobe gives us. I love how adobe is created Adobe is my favorite software's to use when doing Graphic Design.

The only thing I like the least about the Adobe software is the price range, I think it is a little too expensive for people who wants to start their business.

It’s really easy to use and navigate around no matter your level of experience. I began on the “beginner” edit mode and after only using for a couple of years now use the expert mode as it’s that easy to pick up!

I've been a user of Photoshop Elements for many years and have watched it grow from a lite version of Photoshop to a quite powerful AI-driven editing tool. Each version has added some very powerful guided edits which can do some quite smart tricks. I am not a graphic designer, by any means, but Elements has allowed mw to do everything I have needed.I have come to depend on the included Organizer tool which catalogs my 60K+ pictures into categories, such as family, friends, places, etc. It's facial recognition finds people, even as they age from children to adults.

Pros

Am easy to use lite version of Photoshop.

Cons

No longer supports direct creation of DVDs.

Ive had this software, yes I keep it updated, for about 10 years. I know it pretty well. Some features moved to under different tabs which us annoying. But its still a great product. Quit moving functions!

I have been using Elements for over 10 years and for the organizing of my photos, I like it the best. So I am pleased with this software that is worth the money. But you do need to add another editing software for more advanced editing.

Pros

Elements has a great way to organize your photos. It is easy to make folders and sub-folders to organize your photos into different categories. You can easily add tags to each photo which is helpful to quickly find a certain photo. The editing part of this software is simple and easy to use, but a bit limited. Also this software is bought outright and is not a subscription, which I prefer.

Cons

The editing part of this software is a bit limiting for the advanced user. I usually use another editing software along with this.

Overall I'd highly recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements if you are looking for an in depth graphic design platform that is still easy to use for the lay person and not professional. If regular Photoshop looks too daunting, then this is definitely a good step down from there for the more average user. While I don't use this on a daily basis, when I do need any sort of in depth of specific design that I feel I can do on my own, Photoshop Elements is my go to!

Pros

What I like most about Adobe Photoshop Elements is all the advanced features and functionality. At the same time, the learning curve isn't too steep if you are not a professional, which I am not. There's so much you can do with the software, a lot of which I've honestly not dived into! I use it for pretty basic photo editing and graphic design. I also like how inexpensive the software is!

Cons

There isn't much for me to dislike about this software! They have been developing Photoshop for so long, and Adobe is such a great company that I haven't ever had any major issues.

Excellent. Still going strong after getting the business started and still has uses today. 6+ years now.

Pros

Because this is Adobe, this is the program that got me started on Photoshop (which has a pretty steep learning curve in my opinion) This was an easy jump from the other graphic and editing programs I used and started getting me used to the adobe way of doing things. This is the program that I had initially used for all my marketing and the base of developing my business.

Cons

The only con is if you really get into the design and graphics it's a bit limited in comparison to the full-blown Photoshop. This was great to get me started, and some of my staff that are not Photoshop Wizards still use Elements to complete projects.

Even though I was already well versed in editing, I still learned from using Adobe Photoshop Elements. I used it to train two of my employees, and I actually purchased this product for my daughter as well and she loves it.

Pros

Adobe Photoshop Elements is like a lite version of standard Photoshop, it's more compact and beginner friendly. It's also affordable and dosen't require a subscription. I would absolutely recommend it to students. The reason is that this software can make adjustments and enhancements for you. The automatic editing is not generic or one size fits all, it chooses what will make your photos look best. Users can learn and build on their skills by following guided edits that explain the process.

Cons

Of course with this being a more simple software it's missing a lot of the things that are included in standard Photoshop. The worst part is that it dosen't support printing or certain file types, and lacks some of the advanced editing that I utilize regularly.
