Partner Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I've Been Using Paint Shop Pro For Decades" September 7, 2022 4.0 I haven't found better in 20 years. It is one of my must have applications. Pros What I like most about the current version of Paint Shop Pro is Batch processing. My site has over 20,000 images and I am able to easily make multiple changes to size, etc, with their easy to understand scripting tools. I can also rename images or convert them from one format to another. And that's not all. I can edit images fairly easily, although there are times when the software is insufficient. Cons There are some functions of this that were easier and more intuitive 20 years ago. For that reason I also keep a PSP 6 on my desktop machine. The erase tool and test tool were really easy back in the older version, now I think they've tried to do too much, maybe to satisfy more sophisticated imaging pros than myself. March 8, 2022 4.0 Paint shop pro will be one of my favorite graphic program for editing images and make gif (yes, because you can even make some gif in there!). The program has different features in it and you can make your own customize path to fit your editing schedule for images. Pros I began my graphic design journey with this software (when its enemy was at is lowest) and i appreciate all the features this program offer to its users. It's not simple at first to understand every action or object but in the long run you will feel like a pro. The compatibility with all the plug-ins on the web makes PaintShop Pro the best program. Cons At first it can be intimidating as i expected it to be more intuitive, but with a little practice everything is perfectly clear as you can do different paths for modify an image. Shortcuts definetely very good for me. It deserves the money and you can use the program forever if you do not need updated versiyon. Pros Paintshop Pro does at least 95% of what Photoshop does (for most users), but at a reasonable price. Easy to use, mature product, with a long history and online support. It can also open photoshop files. Cons The main reason I've switched to Photoshop is for broader compatibility when working on team projects, and integration with Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Pro. It's competitively priced too, but often flies under the radar compared to the likes of Photoshop. Cons There's very little to complain about except the pricing.
