No longer struggle to dial in EXACTLY where a project is and when its slated to arrive. Pros Provides real-time data, a lot of it. Can help provide information related to when a truck was opened and at what speeds/G-Forces the product received. Can help determine any issues that may arise from damage upon receipt. The battery life is sufficient for 5 min pings on critical loads and it keeps my entire team aware of the location of our time-critical loads. Cons There are very few customization options in the software. We would love to be able to share the GPS data with customers, but do not feel they need to have access to the onboard sensor data. In our line of work, industry standards (which we adhere to) say one thing, but traditional customers believe it should be something else. So to avoid any confusion, we are sending out periodic updates via email rather than giving them a link to their load. Review Source JS Jessica S. Pros I like to be able to track my shipments and make sure the temperature of the reefer is correct. Cons The price of each unit is very high. However it is expensive so we do only use in the most risky and most important shipments. For most shipments we do use a much less expensive tracker as we do not need the extra features. Pros In the grafics of the shipment you can easily see the temperature and humidity in every single point of the supply chain. You can recharge the battery, so use the logger longer. Cons Sometimes it is difficult. some setups can be done double and will work against eachother. Reason for choosing Tive We do use sensitech mostly and for the most risky shipments we use tive. We are still in the trial and testing phase and the team at Tive has been incredible with helping to resolve global shipping issues and other countries laws pertaining to GPS tracking where we purchase large volumes of material. Pros This device has lots of functionality, ie temperature and light monitoring, GPS tracking, which is good for shipment tracking. Cons GPS is not reliable and there is a lagged in data logging. Very easy to set-up. Cons The notification system tends to spam a lot and requires some finesse to avoid receiving 50 emails per day regarding shipments arriving in a facility such as a port. Pros Relatively easy to use. The 'shared shipment' link is an excellent way for clients to track their own order. The company is now able to track temperature, light and shock events before, during and after transit. Location information available 'live'. Cons There has been a few technical issues with the product (although customer service has always been prompt & supportive).
