It can also supports visual basic and user with advance knowledge and get maximum benefits out of this amazing software by Microsoft.
Cons
No remote access of files, user based restriction is to be designed, multi user access is limited. No track of devoloment status.
The setup of the server was really tough. When I had to set it up on one of my clients' machines, it took me a couple of hours to figure out what libraries were missing.
This does give it a busy feel that can be intimidating, however, everything I've used with it has worked well.
Additionally there is limited integration with other data formats.

"Microsoft Access & SQL"
Overall: In general MS Access is great tool which can be used to manage small company data, reducing the need for lots of spreadsheets.
Pros: If you are a beginner to database management and dash boards MS Access is a good place to start. It then has the additional features to connect to other databases such as SQL. There are also many customization you can make with VBA.
