Pros During the pandemic:How it handles virtually unlimited exams and exam takers. How easy it is to copy exams (making it possible to split exams for separate invigilators).How easy it is to create exams - both from scratch and via pdf upload. The variety of exams it handles (supports audio files, has built-in tools, can accept scanned responses, support multiple files in addition to the exam question paper).Now:The auto-marking feature, the types of auto-marking questions, the 'jumble the questions' feature... all making it easy to create worksheets/tasks students can reuse during revision season. The customer support is outstanding, and the platform is very flexible and customizable which are its strongest features. After using it for two years, I would definitely recommend it to other educators looking for a reliable digital platform to conduct their assessments. Pros The customizable features have been the most impactful. Exam.net gives me the flexibility to design assessments based on my needs and the needs of my students as they prepare for college exams. It allows me to create essay questions quickly and easily and provides a platform for me to score these responses in an organized and efficient way. Cons I think that Exam.net has done a lot recently to improve their platform even more. I have been using it now for more than two years, and my students really enjoy it. The one suggestion I would make is to maybe expand the ability to add images and videos. Pros I’m an English teacher and the most useful features for me are: the possibility to add audio tracks, the possibility to add the options such as help for translation, synonyms, spelling check, text to speech and also the possibility to add accessibility tools such as mind maps, schemes for students with special needs. Pros It is very easy to upload exams as a pdf file and to make the settings right for each student. Pros My favorite thing about exam.net is the ability to enter robust math equations, including fractions, exponents, radicals, logarithms, integrals, derivatives, etc. Doing so is relatively easy, as well. Cons I cannot think of any cons. Exam.net is a wonderful tool. The students appreciate a clean and simple interface, and I enjoy the time I save not having to grade quizzes and tests. I can use it as a platform for practice writing sessions and for writing examinations. It is especially helpful to be able to monitor students live and in real time. This allows me to give feedback while they are writing, which is usually quite appreciated. Cons I prefer to use Microsoft forms for auto/self correcting exams and assignments. The actual construction of the exam or assignment seems to be somehow more efficient or smoother in FROMS. The advantage with exam.net though is that the students are locked into the exam environment and are not able to use the internet to find answers. That is not the case with FORMS. September 12, 2023 5.0 Overall, I'm very pleased that my school decided to implement Exam.net instead of using Inspera, since it's much easier to use both for me and for my students. My students have also said that it's so much better with this than Inspera. Pros I highly recommend other schools to use Exam.net! Not only is it really easy to understand (doing different types of assignments), but it's also very easy for my students to use it. And the best part is that the student doesn't need an account of their own. All the extra features like dictionaries, translation options and spell check works like a charm and are very appreciated by the students as well. It also works very well to print or get PDF-files of the students answers when they have finished the exam. Cons When you do an exam which is autocorrected (or if some of the questions are to be autocorrected), the students have to put in the exact spelling of the word that you put in as the correct answer (if you do the "fill in the blanks). In that case, I had to correct the tests myself since I wasn't looking for how they spelled the words but more the knowledge. It would also be great if there was an option that allowed two students to co-write an assignment, that feature doesn't exist right now. Review Source GY Galia Y. It was a great solution for the need to take exams being away from the class rooms. Its friendly features and interface and simple presentation made the world to me as a teacher and also it made me feel in control of the exam situation even if my students were not physically with me. Unfortunately because of time constrictions I dont use all the features available. But, I can see that they are very appropriate and useful for teachers. November 10, 2022 5.0 It has been great to use Exam.net, and I encourage it for all teachers. It makes it much more difficult for students to cheat, because it kicks them off the platform when they go to another website. It is easy to customize each exam, even if it is for an essay. As a teacher, I can watch each student's progress in real time. Finally, when it is time to grade the exams, I can either do it online, or I can print them out. I always recommend Exam.net to other teachers. It is truly a superior tool for Education! Pros I like that it makes it more difficult for students to cheat. It kicks them off of the platform if they navigate to another website. I also like how I can print out all student exams at the end for easy grading. Cons There is always confusion when a student gets kicked off the platform when attempting to go to a different website. It would be better if, instead of kicking them off, it would simply not allow students to leave Exam.net until the exam is submitted. When creating an exam, you can choose the option "High-security mode". With that option, the student's device screen will be locked down and the student won't be able to leave the Exam.net interface. Pros Easy to construct a test/assignmentA variety of features that enables me to assist pupils with at variation of needs (for example the option to scan a handwritten text, or that the pupil can listen to his/her written text)Easy to give other personal access to a test that I have created Cons When in a test-situation (students take a test): The screensaver comes on way too fast when the higher security level is on. This is frustrating for both student and teacher.It would be much easier for the student to grasp how much text he/she has written if the writingdocument was divided in pages, such as Word for example. September 12, 2023 5.0 Pros I love how you can set Math papers with ease by using the equation functions, and that the learners can write answers using an equation function. Another thing that is great is that student can scan and upload written answers to the exam that makes it easy for marking. Cons I would love to be able to release scores to students that only include the overall mark and not what they received for every question.
