In my new school I had the license and fell in love with the tool. Pros The possibility to give feedback to the students and to your collaborators both on the overall test and on the single item. Cons The fact that when you share a test with someone it is not possibile to modify the shared exam: each person has to make a copy and then eventually share again the modified copy. It somehow defeats the idea of collaborative sharing. I tried it and shared it with my department in USA and from that time, I am trying my best to keep using it to the point I paid it once out of my own pocket to be able to use it with my students. The pricing is the huge challenge to my department, so if this can be considered, that will be great. Thank you again for your creativity to having a wonderful tool! Pros It is time saving, features keep updated to meet the needs of students and teachers. I shared ones my need to be able to select certain questions from previous tests, and within a couple of months, this feature was added! It is recommended to take my least likings of the application. Pros \- No free access for students unless that are allowed - Variety of question types - Covering and randomizing question features - Adding extra material to the tests Cons \- Not being able to play audio tracks uploaded to the test without internet which hinders the performance of students - When the test has an active timer, the timer doesn't deduct missed time from late accesses, which is unfair to the students who came on time. - It is recommended that even the subquestions are randomized not the single questions only. Since I started using it (during the pandemic) I have never done a paper based exam, I know it has a lot more features than the ones I use, but for my purposes it is a great asset. Even when there have been problems with the internet there has always been a solution and nothing the students have answered has ever been lost. Once I had an unexpected problem at exam time and it was very easy to find someone to go with the students and give them the code. I was able to be online to answer the questions. Pros It's very practical. The exams are stored in digital format, which is very easy to organize and then consult, as well as being much more sustainable because no paper is consumed. It can be shared with colleagues, which is very useful for collaboration. Pros I think that the ease of use for both students and staff members is the main strength of this tool. In a digital era of teaching, there is a need for every institution to safeguard the integrity of examinations and exam.net is a practical and helpful asset for this end. Cons I think that it is the lack of certain functions which is the main issue I have with the tool. However, adding too many functions could make it more difficult to use, thus removing one of its strengths. It would be great to have an advanced tool which could be added if one feels that the original function was lacking. Cons For now...it is the difficulty to do colaborative editing on 1 exam, we need to copy it multiple times and make sure the first teacher finish his\\her editing before we can have the most updated copy and re-copy it again to do the same step for other teacher in the same team. I especially adore the introduction last autumn of a feature for creating auto-correcting tests. It's fa-bu-lous! I'm extremely fed up with test correction, and I spend a lot of time thinking of how I can use these auto-correcting features as much as possible ;) I teach languages, and for example, they are great for creating quick, variated tests on homework (mostly homework consisting in learning words but also sometimes grammar). Pros I like almost everything about it. Very much. Cons That if you've created a test with a specific test type, you can't change it even if not a single pupil has taken it, and that even if you make a copy, you can't change the test type, despite what is stated in the information box that pops up. Pros Very secure when doing the national tests in Sweden (Nationella proven), not that difficult to create tests, add documents and overall user friendly. Cons I would like more options when it comes to quizes, for example no keys when students shut them down and wants to open them again. An easier way of over-viewing the questions, in the case you want to add a question it doesn't end up added at the bottom and you have to bit by bit pull it up. Pros The tutorials to use it are easy and once you learn how to do it, you can save a lot of time in the evaluation phase. The students can immediately know their scores after sitting a test. You can rename a file you typed in and use for another class. The connection with Classroom is also useful because the students do not waste time typing in all their details because the system gets them all from Classroom.It's also amazing that special needs students can have tools such as the text to speech, uploaded mind maps or templates and also spelling correction. Cons You take some time to learn ho to type in texts or to copy and paste from your data base, the font are not always friendly for special needs students: Times New Roman is the first font that comes up, whereas it should be Arial or Verdana so I shouldn't change font every time for them. It should have the possibility of uploading the personal evaluation grid so that the students could get not only the scores, but also the mark or grade.
