Overall, it’s been a reliable tool for version control and collaboration. It might take a little time to get everything set up the way you want, but once it’s in place, it supports day-to-day development work quite well.

Pros

Bitbucket works really well for managing code in a team environment. The integration with Jira is probably the biggest advantage, it’s very convenient to link commits and pull requests directly to tasks. The interface is clean, and handling branches and pull requests feels straightforward. I also like the built-in pipelines feature for basic CI/CD, which helps automate parts of the workflow.

Cons

It can feel a bit limited compared to some other platforms when it comes to advanced features or third-party integrations. Performance can occasionally be slow with larger repositories. Setting up pipelines or managing permissions can also take some time if you’re new to it.

Bitbucket has been solid, especially when working within an Atlassian‑based workflow. The integration with Jira is the standout feature—it keeps code, issues, and documentation tightly connected, which helps maintain clarity across development teams. Bitbucket Pipelines also makes it easy to automate builds and deployments without relying on external CI tools. However, the platform isn’t without drawbacks. The UI can feel clunky at times, and performance slows down with larger repos or heavier activity. It’s a great fit for teams already invested in Atlassian products, but it may feel less polished or flexible for those coming from more modern or streamlined platforms.

Pros

Bitbucket’s strongest advantage is its seamless integration with Jira and the rest of the Atlassian ecosystem.

Cons

The interface can feel slower and less intuitive compared to competitors like GitHub. For teams not using Jira, Bitbucket often feels less compelling.

Pros

The ease of use and the CI/CD pipelines integration is great. Also the option to visualize the pipeline and how many branches are from main is great. Keep our repos safely and ready to use. Integration with Jira and Confluence is a nice feature.

Cons

Maybe develop a bit more in Rovo ChatBot, also understandable as it is anew feature and it is still in Beta version, Looking forward to see the full power.

Although Bitbucket's performance is sometimes slow, its integrations and collaboration features still make it valuable for my team.

Pros

Bitbucket is easy to use with its clean, user-friendly interface, and it makes project tracking and team code collaboration much simpler.

Cons

At times, Bitbucket’s performance felt slower compared to other platforms, especially while working with larger repositories.

Straightforward Git hosting and reviews, best if you’re in the Atlassian stack Pipelines cover most needs; for heavy/complex builds we used self‑hosted runners

Pros

Tight Jira/Confluence integration; solid PR workflows and branch permissions - Pipelines are easy to set up (YAML, caches, env vars) and good for common CI/CD - Good value for small/medium teams (free private repos, sensible tiers)

Cons

\- Pipelines minutes/concurrency can get pricey; hosted macOS/Windows runners are limited - UI performance and code search/browsing/editor feel behind GitHub/GitLab

Been using it for about 5 years in total across 3 organizations. Typically my usage stretches to reviewing PRs and checking code when developers are not available.

Pros

I like that it seems consistently adopted across different businesses so for anyone on contracts or who moves a lot there is not too much to learn.

Cons

Hosted versions aren't forced to stay up to date so the UI can be jarring if switching between cloud and self hosted.

My overall experience using Bitbucket was good. I liked the product but it seems it is not that popular among developers.

Pros

Multiple projects under multiple repositories and a good and simple UI/UX experience are the features I like most about Bitbucket.

Cons

Found out that many people and organisations don't use Bitbucket that much. Many are not familiar with Bitbucket.
