It has been pretty good. I use it several times a week for repos, pull requests, and pipelines, and it’s reliable and gets the job done, even if the UI can feel a little clunky sometimes.

Pros

I like that Bitbucket keeps repos, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines in one place, which makes the day to day workflow pretty easy. The integrations are solid, and overall it’s good value for what I use it for.

Cons

The UI can feel a little clunky in places, especially when you’re trying to find specific settings or pipeline details. Some pages also feel slower than they should, and the overall experience could be a bit more polished.

Pros

Built-in CI/CD capabilities, Source code management, AI code generation, AI code review, Auto-fix bugs

Cons

The user interface often feels slow, cluttered, or less intuitive, with performance noticeably dropping on larger repositories. Unlike competitors with built-in secret scanning and automated vulnerability analysis, Bitbucket relies heavily on external third-party integrations for advanced security

Easy to use features and interfaces make Bitbucket great for beginners. Scaling is an issue with Bitbucket.

Pros

Bitbucket has an easy to use interface, easy setup, and is free for users. I liked it easy to setup and simple features.

Cons

Bitbucket has a size constraint on repos. This caused us to move from Bitbucket to Github when we reached the maximum size of our repo.

Reasons for choosing Bitbucket

I went to Github instead of Bitbucket because of size constraints.

My overall experience with Bitbucket has been exceptional, it helps us organize our day to day work, manage tasks in a effective way and keep track of KPI's.

Pros

What I like most about Bitbucket is that it performs well, it's simple to use, offers a wide range of customization options and is overall very reliable.

Cons

What I like least about Bitbucket is the lack of AI driven search engine, which i think could improve usability and in addition the interface can sometimes seems a bit too complex, especially for new users.

Overall, it’s been a reliable tool for version control and collaboration. It might take a little time to get everything set up the way you want, but once it’s in place, it supports day-to-day development work quite well.

Pros

Bitbucket works really well for managing code in a team environment. The integration with Jira is probably the biggest advantage, it’s very convenient to link commits and pull requests directly to tasks. The interface is clean, and handling branches and pull requests feels straightforward. I also like the built-in pipelines feature for basic CI/CD, which helps automate parts of the workflow.

Cons

It can feel a bit limited compared to some other platforms when it comes to advanced features or third-party integrations. Performance can occasionally be slow with larger repositories. Setting up pipelines or managing permissions can also take some time if you’re new to it.

Bitbucket has been solid, especially when working within an Atlassian‑based workflow. The integration with Jira is the standout feature—it keeps code, issues, and documentation tightly connected, which helps maintain clarity across development teams. Bitbucket Pipelines also makes it easy to automate builds and deployments without relying on external CI tools. However, the platform isn’t without drawbacks. The UI can feel clunky at times, and performance slows down with larger repos or heavier activity. It’s a great fit for teams already invested in Atlassian products, but it may feel less polished or flexible for those coming from more modern or streamlined platforms.

Pros

Bitbucket’s strongest advantage is its seamless integration with Jira and the rest of the Atlassian ecosystem.

Cons

The interface can feel slower and less intuitive compared to competitors like GitHub. For teams not using Jira, Bitbucket often feels less compelling.

Pros

The ease of use and the CI/CD pipelines integration is great. Also the option to visualize the pipeline and how many branches are from main is great. Keep our repos safely and ready to use. Integration with Jira and Confluence is a nice feature.

Cons

Maybe develop a bit more in Rovo ChatBot, also understandable as it is anew feature and it is still in Beta version, Looking forward to see the full power.
