### "Bugs as Stability aside, It's still the top option"

August 10, 2025

4.0

Overall our experience with Premiere, like many others in the industry, is mostly positive. The UI is probably the best among all tools, however, there are many areas where Premiere is lacking, especially with bugs and stability issues that are slow to be resolved.

Pros

The UI is solid, packed full of features, integrates so nicely with other adobe software like photoshop and after effects.

Cons

There are numerous bugs that have existed for years and still haven't been resolved. Its more laggy and not as stable as alternatives such as Resolve.

Alternatives considered

[DaVinci Resolve](https://www.capterra.com/p/209733/DaVinci-Resolve/)

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

Premiere is slightly more intuitive and with a slightly more seamless UX although Resolve is more stable.

### "Great for video editing, but not for graphics"

September 16, 2025

5.0

Overall Premiere is great. I use it daily for my job as a video editor. It's lacking in a new places like graphics, but it works with Adobe After Effects so that's fine.

Pros

Adobe Premiere Pro has been a great video editing tool. It's easier than Avid and has more options than Capcut or Imovie.

Cons

When new updates are rolled out sometimes the software is glitchy and the software will crash. It usually takes a few months for it to fix itself with updates.

It was a cheaper options at the time. Avid now has a monthly subscription option that's about the same.

### "Love Adobe Premiere but not so much the Creative Cloud intgration. "

June 16, 2026

4.0

If you're just starting out, Premiere Pro is pretty easy to get your head around. It's got everything you need without being overwhelming,

Pros

It basically does everything without being overwhelming. In my own experience, it's probably an industry standard. Meaning I can easily package up my project and send my edit to somebody else seamlessly. 8/10 times, the other editors are also using Adobe Premiere. It's not free, but it's affordable on even the tightest of budgets. Great color grading and audio mixing options right out of the box. You also get access to some AI audio cleanup tools which can be a lifesaver if you're working with bad audio. The multicam editor is a breeze to use. So if you're editing a podcast or a multicamera interview, you can easily do real-time switching and save yourself a ton of work.

Cons

Adobe Creative Cloud can be a bit...needy. And frankly I wish I could buy the product without the cloud integration.

### "Worst Editing application of 2025"

October 10, 2025

1.0

Terrible customer support. Extremely slow compared to Resolve. There isn't a single thing Premiere attempts to do that Resolve can't do cheaper and faster and more intuitively.

Pros

Literally the worst editing application I've ever used. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LEARNING THIS SOFTWARE. Literally invest your time in ANY OTHER EDITING APPLICATION.

Cons

Fails on basic functionality like basic exports. There is no good resource for finding solutions to the se basic problems. The color grading interface is a joke.

### "A great tool for creative video projects. "

June 6, 2026

4.0

With all things considered, Adobe Premiere Pro is the amazing device to use to make the videos that are visually complete and aid us in conveying the story of our clothing designs. It takes a little patience and practice, but there's no end to the possibilities. It's been worth the investment, for us it has a few performance glitches, but for a small team like us, it has worked. When I have encountered technical issues they have been helpful with their customer support.

Pros

Adobe Premiere Pro provides me a great deal of flexibility with my apparel collection promoting videos. I like being able to make subtle adjustments to the color and lighting that correspond to the moods of our designs. The audio editing is useful as an added feature for adding background music or voiceovers to highlight our products. The timeline attribute is essential for managing large projects and is a time-saver for me.

Cons

At times the software slows down when working on larger projects, that slow-down tends to interrupt my workflow on tight deadlines. I also had to do a lot of work and learning the ropes myself in the beginning because I didn't know how to edit videos. I hope there are faster tutorials or more basic settings for basic editing. For smaller teams, the cost of the subscription is somewhat on the higher end, but still fairly reasonable for the features.

### "Premiere Pro all hours into the night!"

September 28, 2025

5.0

I have been using it for about 15 years, previously at the college on their computers when I didn't have a laptop powerful enough to run it. But now computers are a lot cheaper and I can do a student subscription and work at home all hours into the night. At least at the college, the computer lab closed and I'd have to quit. HA! Easy to spend 8 straight hours having video editing fun at home.

Pros

I have the student subscription so it isn't expensive. I have created a lot of videos with it and it's easy to use once you get the hang of it. I haven't needed to contact support because it works well. It's fast and works well. The projects use it for are to create music videos for YouTube of my original songs.

Cons

If you have to pay full price, it can get expensive. Sometimes it glitches and doesn't render, so you have to trick it and render a small section at a time instead of the whole thing. Also, sometimes the color gets a bit off if you export and then import it back in, you'll see a colors shift. Maybe it's some setting I'm not aware of.

I don't use Macs anymore and the windows free movie editor sucked. Plus I needed something more professional with more features.

### "Premiere Pro is the industry standard for a reason!"

December 2, 2025

5.0

It has been great! I have been able to create high quality videos with advanced animations that really bring my designs to life.

Pros

I love the versatility and control the program affords me. With all of my videos I have total control over every detail.

Cons

I wish I could slip from keyframe to keyframe by the push of a button when animating. But other than that it is great.

### "Secure and effective usage of Adobe premiere pro."

February 22, 2026

5.0

Adobe has been an amazing app that has helped me in smooth, result-oriented production for my projects.

Pros

It is fast and easy to use, even for a new user who can easily use it and edit either video or audio.

Cons

It takes time to load videos, making it hard to use in a fast-paced environment where a lot of production is done.

### "Powerful, but plan on a learning curve"

June 4, 2026

4.0

For serious video work, Premiere Pro can handle a lot. BUT it's not the right tool for everyone. If you need quick turnarounds or you're newer to video editing, the complexity can slow you down more than it helps. For professionals doing high-volume, polished production, the learning investment is worth it.

Pros

Strong multi-track editing capabilities. I used it mainly for longer-form content like case studies, and managing multiple video and audio tracks at once is where its really useful. When you're up to speed, you can layer audio and keep complex timelines organized

Cons

High learning curve. Not a tool you can figure out in an afternoon. The interface is dense, especially if you're coming from something lighter like iMovie or CapCut. Expect to invest a good amount of time in tutorials.

### "Precision Video Editing"

June 8, 2026

5.0

I've had a very positive experience with Premiere Pro and feel it's one of the few creative tools that fully justifies its subscription cost. It's reliable, feature-rich, and capable of handling everything from simple edits to complex professional projects.

Pros

Premiere Pro strikes a great balance between professional-grade power and everyday usability. The editing tools are excellent, performance is solid, and the integration with After Effects, Audition, and other Adobe apps makes for a very efficient workflow.

Cons

There aren't many major drawbacks for me. Occasional bugs or performance hiccups can happen, but nothing significant enough to outweigh the benefits of the platform.

### "The best video editing platform for demanding jobs"

November 30, 2024

5.0

I have been using Premiere Pro for almost 8 years as a professional editor producing video content for marketing purposes. I have experience with all competing products. Premiere Pro is feature-rich, time-saving, and robust.

Pros

Complex, yet user-friendly editing platform that keeps getting better and better.

Cons

New updates are prone to break a few things, but that may be true for any complex software product.

Switched from

[Final Cut Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/233399/Final-Cut-Pro/)

Final Cut Pro introduced a revolutionary new way of working with clips in a timeline. Unfortunately, it's not well-suited for every editorial workflow. It wasn't for mine where I build sequences like a mosaic.

### "It's more impressive than I thought at beginning"

December 13, 2023

4.0

I start using the software since the v 3.0 of what was only called Premiere and considered a toy for editing, Then I migrated to another editing software considered the standard for editing but I never give up the use of Premiere then its giant brother Premiere Pro. I think that the giant leap happened when the movie Avatar was created with Adobe products. Anyhow the chance to detach any panel of the UI and make your custom workspace it's important as well as little innovation like having audio meter in the track and more. If do you have to start editing I suggest Premiere Pro because it's more intuitive than others besides you can also run it in almost any machine with little problems, while others such as Avid needs very specific requirements and if you don't buy their machine very often their support ignore your issue. I remember I used Premiere Pro 2.0 in a very old office PC. Enjoy editing, it's a great work!

Pros

The UI is very easy and clean that is a must for me, besides the integration with other products such as Audition, Photoshop, etc. make it more flexible than other software. It has anything you need to make a good work from low level to cinema quality

Cons

The use in cloud is not my preferred way of working. No specific annoyance except you cannot direct import project from DaVinci Resolve and so far Blackmagic raw file format is not native accepted but you have to use a plugin created by the black magic.

Switched from

[DaVinci Resolve](https://www.capterra.com/p/209733/DaVinci-Resolve/)

I use both but DVR is more complicated to use and less performant with low budget PC.

### "Top Quality Video Editing Software"

March 3, 2025

5.0

I think Premiere is the best video editing software for anyone working on the Adobe suite. The Adobe dynamic link with After Effects is great for live previews and updates and means it integrates seemlessly. The UI is slick and everything is easy to find.

Pros

Adobe Premiere integrates with the Adobe suite and makes editing easy and a smooth process. I use Premiere for all my video editing, I love the interface and the easily accessible menu and timeline it offers.

Cons

Sometimes when moving or copying and pasting elements on the timeline, it can override the position and knock on your footage or replace it when you don't want it to.

### "Video Editing at its Best"

July 11, 2025

5.0

I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro for several years and have completed many video editing projects. The integration of video and audio is seamless!

Pros

Adobe Premiere Pro is a great product for video editing. The features at a great cost is a nice combination that is hard to find in the software world.

Cons

While the software is very intuitive and easy to use, there are a few features that are complex by nature which makes them a little difficult to use and understand. This is mainly an issue if you don't use the product on a regular basis.

### "Industry standard for a reason"

April 3, 2025

5.0

Pros

Great product with many capabilities. There is always something more to learn in premiere.

Cons

The nature of a recurring cost is my least favorite aspect of adobe products at large. With Adobe in general, I'd like to see the same shortcuts from platform to platform ie ⌘M to export on all platforms and not just Premiere.

### "Best Adobe Product"

January 25, 2025

Pros

Adobe Premier Pro is, in my opinion, one the best Adobe products. While many people I know complained that it was difficult to latch on to, with a few simple built-in tutorials it was easy to get the hang of and begin to master.

Cons

### "Versatile and Intimidating "

November 26, 2024

5.0

Overall Adobe Premiere Pro is a powerful software that can handle complex projects. There is a steep learning curve for beginners, so it can be difficult to quickly begin a project if you have no experience with the software.

Pros

Adobe Premiere Pro is fantastic for complex editing tasks. Its advanced timeline functionality allows for multi-layered editing, precise keyframing, and seamless manipulation of audio and video tracks. Features like nested sequences, multi-camera editing, and dynamic linking with After Effects provide control over complex workflows.

Cons

The main pro of Adobe Premiere Pro-it's ability to handle complex editing-is also its con. It can be intimidating for beginners due to its steep learning curve and complexity. The interface is packed with advanced tools and features and, therefore, can feel overwhelming for those new to video editing, often requiring significant time and effort to navigate and understand. Many basic functions are buried under layers of menus, and the vast amount of customization options, while great for professionals, can be confusing for first-time users. Additionally, the lack of hand-holding tutorials within the software itself means newcomers may need to rely heavily on external resources to get started, which can slow down the learning process.

### "Great for Professional Videos, More than needed for Social Media"

June 15, 2025

Overall, great for longer, more professional looking videos. More than you need for creating Reels and social content.

Pros

Lots of customization options for creating professional videos for a small business. Pairing with an AdobeStock membership is especially helpful.

Cons
