### "More Attentive Support and Software built with User Feedback"

The software is great. Initially, the support was great. Over the last 4 years the support has gotten terrible. Also, we cannot get payment Terminals that work with Lightspeed in Canada and it doesn't seem to be a big deal to them. How can dealers using their software not being able to take integrated payment not be the # 1 priority of the whole company? The CRM System seems to be ok, but it should be easier for the salespeople to be alerted of the next follow-up they set with a customer.

Pros

Ease of Use, certain systems within Lightspeed, and its integration with other platforms.

Cons

As a Canadian Dealer, we can't even get payment terminals! We often come across things that make it apparent the software is built by software developers, not by people within the industry who use the software.

Excellent dealership management program with great customer support!

Pros

I love that all departments of our dealership - Sales, Service, Parts, F&I - are all integrated and work together. It's truly a complete dealership program!

Cons

As with any dealership software, there is a bit of a learning curve. I am still learning about features I didn't know we had!

Overall a good DMS for retailing, lacks customization and management tools to manipulate inventory.

Pros

Features, ease of use for new employees, simple for a counter person to ring someone out

Cons

Lack of management tools compared to previous versions, EVO was dumbed down compared to NXT for managers

### "Customer support is the most terrible I have ever experiences"

Like I mentioned software is good. Just no customer service or support.

Pros

Capable of doing everything we need. And incorporating information across departments.

Cons

I hate that when we need help troubleshooting a problem that we don’t have a customer service contact that will actually answer the phone, return a call or answer a an email. Spend a shit ton of money to have zero customer support. It’s disgraceful.

as long as it works, its almost perfect when something needs tech support, you may be waiting for a while

it integrates seamlessly into the motorsports market all the major brands and companies use it along with a multi open window feature

reports take a while to understand the wording to get the desired results and that some functions can not be deleted

Mobile version is too limited. I'd love to see a full-featured version for iPad or macOS to not lock LightspeedEVO usage to Windows PCs.

Sales deals functionality and the repair orders but repair orders reporting is lacking

That you cannot DELETE a mistake when making a journal entry, reverse is a pain

Lightspeed is a great tool when it comes to maintaining and controlling our inventory.

Pros

I love how this software is integrated in with mercury and volvo and provides automatic updates on superseeded parts and pricing.

Cons

Sometimes when tracking through a superseeded number in price books it will take you through 5-6 other superseeded #'s before you get to the final part # that they are currently using now.

It is easy to use, love the live aspect of it.

Cons

Getting support in a timely manner is a difficult task. Submitting requests online for assistance and receiving answers back several weeks later is not beneficial in a live enviroment.

Overall it is a very good solution. Closing a few gaps would make it fantastic.

Pros

Dynamic search, customizable reports, accounting suite.

Cons

Some features are half-baked. CRM is poor, texting function very rudimentary, customer service is mostly good, but sometimes tough to get an answer for a time sensitive issue.

No accounting module with DX One was a non-starter.

I have been using lightspeed since it was unix based so I have seen a lot of changes. I have only spent a short amount of time on one dms that wasn't lightspeed and it was easier to use in some ways but lacked the depth that lightspeed has in reporting and history access.

Pros

integration with other departments. reporting has endless options

Cons

only cons are lack of training on product. online training can be frustrating at times.

Inventory control for parts and service. I also like it for sale inv control.

Cons

Ease of working a deal.There just are some things i think it should do that it doesn't . Im coming from Using Renolds and Reynolds that really worked for me..

Lightspeed is the whole package. Please let me explain: Our group's bookstore desperately needed a POS/Inventory system. No way to track inventory or profit margin. Also want to note that it's just myself. I am responsible for the book work of 18 churches within our group as well as the Christian Bookstore store front and everything involved with that. I am also limited to only 28 hours a week. I said that to say this, without the incredible performance, kindness, patience and persistence of the lightspeed team, I would have never been able to stand up a POS/Inventory solution by myself. On Top of the fact that their product is so simple to use and so straight forward, incredibly intuitive. I love everything about the Lightspeed team and their product!!!

Pros

Product is Incredibly Intuitive and Stable Lightspeed team is very patient and there to help at a moment's notice We are a nonprofit group, and they were able to stick within our budget and we saved $$ by going to Lightspeed I can't say enough about this group and there product

Cons

I have yet to find a con with using the Lightspeed software and there are especially NO cons of the Lightspeed Team
