Information about the business financial status in real time. Support has been great. Everyone is pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable about the product.

Pros

Comprehensive in giving me the tools that I need to run my business. Handles Sales, Service, Parts and Accounting thru this system

Cons

Have had issues with the integration with BME ETK system.

I have been a customer since 2007 I paid for two upgrades, I should have cut my losses years ago and went to a different service.

Pros

when it works it works! But there is no customer support, you spend days on hold when you call them.

Cons

When there is a issue it takes hours on hold to speak to someone.

Reason for choosing Lightspeed

It came with the business I purchased.

great for looking up parts and locations

Cons

parts does not let you know if you have a previous part number for same item. would help getting rid of old inventory

My experience so far with lightspeed since I have began using it in June is that I enjoy using it everyday for work. It makes running the business almost stress free.

Pros

The features that are most impactful are the easy report features that it provides. What I like most about this software is how user friendly it is compared to the older models.

Cons

Features I would like to see is to be able to sort parts inventory by the on hand column.

Pros

some features are easy to navigate, like writing a repair order

Cons

The scheduler is very difficult to navigate, and you cannot designate a time the vehicle will be arriving. Why the extra step to validate when using the time clock? Why the second box to click when converting a job to warranty?

We have been using Lightspeed for a number of years now. Although it is expensive I feel it provides the best features.

Seems to upgrade with improved functions regularly.

Cons

Sometimes when accessing the server the system seems to lag, but this is probably due to internet speed.

customer service support is non-existent. We had to hire a staff member internally just to manage the software. How crazy is that?!

Pros

Industry leader - they claim to have 80% market share

Cons

Built on an old, outdated platform - not user friendly

It makes you log in and out at every computer in the dealership. Would like to be able to open up on multiple computers at one time under the same password

In general it has been a good experience. Once everything is setup it is very automated.

Pros

I like the automated features, including integration into QuickBooks Online.

Cons

It was not always clear what the company was paying for and the services that they were getting in return. Sometimes entries would not post but there is a way to correct it in the system and post them later.

service scheduler could be drastically improved. r.o's with multiple units are unnecessarily confusing, leading to errors, should be laid out ore like NXT was
