### "Excellent photo editing platform "

July 4, 2024

5.0

I've been using this program for almost a decade and I enjoy it for how quick and easy it is to use.

Pros

Ease of use and valuable updates. It's an industry standard that makes editing and organizing images simple and seamless and consistent.

Cons

Some of the tools aren't as intuitive as I'd hope. There are some that could be updated or improved.

Cons

Handeling with the adobe website was a pain and not very intuïtieve. canceling my subscripsion when i wasn't using it for a moment was also a pain

### "Quick and easy editing without the fuss"

April 30, 2024

5.0

As I have said before does what it is supposed to do in a fast and efficient way, I have tried other software but this really is the number one tool on the market for me. Its just great for dealing with my wedding photos and lets me work on them without having to upload more than once.

Pros

Adobe Lightroom was very easy to load up with no problems whatsoever. It allows fast editing where you need it getting your photo's ready for the customer. Easy to upload your photos easy to edit, and if you get stuck the help section has the answer.

Cons

The main niggles for me were that you have to load to your c drive it would have helped me to have been able to upload to any drive. I think that some of the tools can still be a bit slow but nothing much. with regards to cons as such none it does what its supposed to do.

Reason for choosing Adobe Lightroom

Easy to use and to edit with giving you images that people want you can take a good picture but there is no point if you do not have the capacity to edit it right, lightroom has done the job for me.

### "Great editing software - Easy to use, and great tutorials"

May 15, 2024

4.0

I use Adobe Lightroom for my photography business and, I have for years. this is a product that is a staple for me in my personal as well as my professional life. It's helped me go from not knowing how to edit photos, and making presets to being able to edit and create presets flawlessly. there are so many features in the Lightroom that I couldn't live without. It's much more user friendly than working with Photoshop.

Pros

ease of use, tutorials, features, quality.

Cons

I dislike that the cloud on occasion takes forever to sync across devices, I wish it wasn't a paid service, I wish that it always had tutorials

### "O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN.."

April 21, 2024

3.0

Pros

The most likely part of adobe lightroom its the whole light panels , i mean personally its the backbone for all of it , and also the grain effect it adds essence to the picture like a24 studios does to its movies and images.

Cons

the least i like about adobe lightroom as it doesn't have presets themes and designs that should the creator should give , i know we can create our own presets but presets themes what i feel should be there for more ideas and variations.

### "Lightroom Features and Usability"

June 15, 2022

5.0

In general, I see a friendly program that I can import my photos, edit them, put them in collections and export them in a very fast and dynamic. I managed to solve the delay in my daily workflow with photography. TODAY is essential for my workflow and I do not intend to exchange for similar programs on the market.

Pros

The amazing and time-saving features are the import and export menu. In import you can easily import and analyze all photos and put them in collections, and quick export to generate the final file type. Very easy to use of course, dedicated to learning. Later we understand that the program is very easy and intuitive. It integrated with my current programs and especially photoshop. It is even possible from within the Lightroom interface to export to photoshop with just one click.

Cons

I miss a feature that works with videos more thoroughly. I know that little by little this can be implemented. I find it a little difficult to customize tabs and menus on the desktop. Regarding the integration requirement, I liked the way it integrates with Photoshop and when it comes to exporting to the cloud, it's easy. It was a very powerful feature that Adobe put in.

Alternatives considered

[Adobe Photoshop](https://www.capterra.com/p/229092/Adobe-Photoshop/)

Reason for choosing Adobe Lightroom

Because it has powerfully adapted to my flow, with importing, editing, cataloging and exporting very dynamic. The others are programs that lack resources and end up delaying processing time much longer, even losing money.

### "the best image editor"

August 1, 2022

5.0

It is a complex application, mainly due to its many functions, which also makes it a very complete application for editing. In addition to exporting everything with great quality. I highly recommend it, if you have difficulties at first, persist until you understand each feature, it's worth it

Pros

I wouldn't say that the application is easy to use, especially for those who are not familiar with image editing, myself, when I installed it, two years ago, I found it quite difficult and I looked for many videos on youtube that could help me. But once you get the hang of it, get more familiar with the tools, you won't want to edit anywhere else. I find the application very complete, with several functions, with the option of filters saved by the user, which make it very easy as well. One thing that might seem small, but I really like it and haven't seen it in similar apps, is the option to "zero" the edit I was doing quite easily.

Cons

it's been a while since, in the "mask" option you could select only the sky, or a "subject". I only managed to do this once! Every other time the app restarts and I lose everything I've edited. So, this function, which is not that new, doesn't work on my device, nor on my husband's device.

### "LIghtroom at a Glimpse"

November 12, 2021

5.0

I learned how to use photoshop first starting on and used it for the longest time (years), when asked a photographer friend of mine before what i can use other than photoshop that is easier to use for multiple images, he showed me lightroom lightroom, just like photoshop, have been my bestfriend since discovering then way before I even graduated college. its a part of my personal and professional life now.

Pros

Lighroom is much more than an image editor, it helps to organize your images by importing or exporting and managing your images easily making you able to keep track of your edits and images, in short it's an editing software and an image managing tool combined into one. you dont have to need to worry about ruining your image while editing as the edits only appy to an exported image not the original. Fast and easy photo books, slide shows, and web galleries this is much easier to learn than photoshop.

Cons

if you are switching to lightroom because photoshop is clunky when it comes to editing multiple images at once, you might be in for a surprise coz lightroom doesnt support layering like photoshop has. Lightroom is made for photo enhancement so its image manipulation tools are limited unlike photoshop.

### "Adobe Lightroom - The Field Photographer's Must-have Software"

February 15, 2022

5.0

Without Adobe Lightroom, my business would experience longer delivery times to publish content. Lightroom enables extremely fast import of new image files and export of finished art. Lightroom enables lightning-fast search and retrieval of images I need to review and select for published content. And lastly, Lightroom handles all aspects of image file management - of over 140,000 images located on multiple hard drives. Lightroom is a competitive advantage in my business.

Pros

I have been a Lightroom user since the beginning of Lightroom, and it has become a critical part of my business processes. I really value Adobe's technical support and frequent updates to the product as new cameras and new capabilities are introduced to the market. One feature of Lightroom that literally saves me hours every day is the keyword tagging and search feature. As a writer and book publisher, it is critically important to me that I be able to find specific photos in my archive of over 140,000 images. Using Lightroom, I can enter a few keywords and Lightroom finds images tagged with those values within seconds. This capability alone is the difference between published a finished book layout in time, or missing a deadline.

Cons

There is not much that I don't like about Lightroom, but I must admit that there is one aspect of the product design that sometimes confuses novice users. That aspect is the data architecture it assigns when importing images, which assures that the original photo file is untouched. Essentially, Lightroom never changes an original image because it records the "path" to the location where each image existed at the time of import. Then, as edits are made to an image, a text file is created to record edits made, such as "increase contrast by +2" or "adjust horizon by -21 degrees." The most common complaint I hear from novice users is "my image disappeared from Lightroom." Invariably, when I help these individuals I learn that the user had changed the folder name, or the location of the file on the computer, which changes the "path" Lightroom uses to find the underlying image - remember, Lightroom does to protect the original file from accidental changes.

### "Long time Lightroom user (going on 10-years) -- it's a must have for any professional photographer"

November 16, 2021

5.0

I have been a long-time user of Adobe Products and you simply cannot use anything else if you're looking for professional editing software. I pay for the premium monthly pack of the entire adobe suite, all the software plays nice with each other integrating useful features between them all. I love the libraries in PS for editing on repeat clients with tools and styles.

Pros

I love that Adobe does useful updates when they update the software. I do love many features about lightroom, speeding up my workflow, consistent batch edits and once you learn the ropes, it's a breeze to use.

Cons

LR just did a major overhaul to their masking and it has been a major upgrade to the previous masking tools. So far I absolutely love it and it is already saving me so many previous headaches in time with masking objects/subjects. I wish they would work on their heal too, it is clunky, slow, and should work more like content-aware in PS, but I'm sure it will eventually get there. :) Nothing that would keep me from using the software.

Alternatives considered

[Capture One](https://www.capterra.com/p/200094/Capture-One-Enterprise/)

Reason for choosing Adobe Lightroom

I did try Capture One for a year in combination with my Adobe LR and PS products for editing. Originally I started using Capture One for the tethered photography options. While it is a wonderfully impactful piece of software, it is very complex and during a busy time I never fully wrapped my brain around using it, it was also quite expensive as a stand-alone software tool when I am probably getting the same value with my LR and PS use. I finally cut the cord and now only use LR and PS. LR has also upgraded their tethering function and it works for what I need.

### "A Image editing software everyone must use"

April 15, 2022

5.0

In my honest opinion, I feel that lightroom is the best color grading software I have ever used. The filter copy and paste option make it so easy for me to batch edit pictures for clients, helping me save time. Although many feel that it's super expensive, I think that it's worth the price. It's a great value for your money.

Pros

I started using it about five years ago. For the longest part of my life, I did not understand why I should edit a picture. But when using editing Lightroom, I saw the quality of my images go to another level. That makes it one of the best photo editors available today. If you know how to use Lightroom, you can do some premium editing. I have never seen such a variety of filters in any other application. It provides some next-level editing. There is the convenience of being able to copy and paste the same filter you wish to use on a few or even all images, which saves time on back-to-back editing.

Cons

There's only one thing I don't like about Lightroom, which is exporting the files to Photoshop to perform intensive image retouching. Because I am knowledgeable about all Adobe Creative Suites, this is not a big deal for me.

### "Holy Grail of Photoediting"

January 27, 2023

5.0

Adobe Lightroom has been my first priority software since day 1. Hands down one of the best software.

Pros

If you're a content creator from a beginner level to having your own Media Agency, Adobe Lightroom is hands down one of the most perfect and most powerful tools. Especially with the integration of AI for masking, and other basic changes, it has been even more fun, quick, and easy to edit. Especially if you're someone who makes while traveling, and most of the time you're editing, you're in an Airplane, or car, or something where Laptop won't be feasible, you can edit directly on your iPad and then see them on your mobile for easy export & upload, on your Laptop for further work or with your team in some other country via cloud-based service.

Cons

The subscription model even thou affordable, isn't for everyone. They should allow free runs on Mobile for RAW editing while keeping the subscription model for iPad & Desktop versions. The lack of Fujifilm Film Simulation is a big red flag for Fujifilm users while their tether when compared to Capture One is quickly outdated.

### "Favorite Photo Editing Tool"

August 14, 2023

The features in Lightroom have grown so much over the past few years. The whole workflow and editing of photos is quick and easy. There are many creative options now as well as tools for touch-ups. I also really enjoy the monthly membership model (paid yearly) which allows me to always be using updated software.

Pros

I've used Lightroom for the past 10+ years and the available features for photo improvements just keep getting better.

Cons

I wish there was the ability to export photos in CMYK.

### "Edit all your social media photos with Lightroom!"

December 24, 2021

5.0

I use lightroom and photoshop sometimes interchangeably but I prefer using Lightroom for quick edits since it is perhaps the easiest and fastest program adobe offers

Pros

Adobe Lightroom is deeply versatile but perhaps most importantly it takes so many steps out of the process to get photos onto social media that it becomes a necessary tool to master for every single creator who has any social media platform. The beauty is it’s easy to master and will have you feeling like a professional in no time even if you are one already ;)

Cons

Like all adobe products it comes with a moderate monthly price tag but like all Adobe products every bug is fixed and every update is applied as soon as you’re ready for it!

### "Adobe lightroom is an amazing product"

January 19, 2024

5.0

Still tried and true program to edit raw files, love using it.

Pros

Fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. So many useful features, and I can see why it is the standard in the photography field. The cloud based syatem makes it so easy to upload and share across many devices, and not having it trapped in my hime pc or have to carry my laptop. Tutorials are super helpful. The filter options are great, and lots of useful editing tools.

Cons

Can be very intimidating at first, when using the mobile version, the program tends to crash unexpectedly at times, especially when i got a new phone. And mostly a problem on the mobile version, i wish PNG was an export option. Very easy to fill up the storage.

### "The only software I use as a professional photographer"

November 17, 2022

5.0

Adobe Lightroom is my all-in-one solution for my work as a professional photographer. It offers many options (Import-Editing-Export), and it's way easier to use than Adobe Photoshop. Batch processing is a key feature when it comes down to editing a lot of photos at the same time.

Pros

Adobe Lightroom is easy-to-use, importing hundreds of RAW photos is fast, and the editing process is much more intuitive than Adobe Photoshop (especially batch processing). Sliders are used to edit the photos, which makes it a breeze to experiment and develop a fast workflow. Exporting the photos into smaller Jpegs for web usage works great too.

Cons

I have the impression that Adobe Lightroom is the reason that slows down my iMac. It takes quite a long time to start the software. Once you add a lot of photos to a catalog, it even gets worse. Therefore make sure you have enough RAM/storage space on your computer.

### "Adobe Lightroom review "

March 15, 2023

I love everything Adobe. What's more, Lightroom is only one of those bits of programming projects that is an unquestionable requirement for any individual who is truly into computerized photography. I'm by and by bought into the Adobe Inventive Cloud membership where I get Lightroom and any remaining Adobe applications in a perfect, reasonable month to month bundle.

Pros

Classifying and document the board are awesome, which is at the center of keeping your photographs straight!Non-horrendous altering of photographs, we've all heard it and yes it's perfect for effortless adjustments to your picturesAdjusting photographs on the cloud works according to plan, including your cell phone obviouslyFurthermore, synchronized altering is a gift, exceptionally simple to utilizeI need to say that the Versatile Application for iOS and Android for Lightroom is astounding, you can see they've truly put into cell phone useThe inquiry devices are strong, making it more straightforward than any time in recent memory to find your photographsEndlessly heaps of presets and unending modules you can have so there's limitless space for extension and new revelationsCamera backing ought to be fantastic also so even new camera discharges are very much upheldFrom your photographs make books, slideshows, exhibitions, and so on.

Cons

As frequently is with Adobe items it utilizes a decent measure of assets, particularly the non-disastrous component requires a ton of circle spaceInstallment is membership based which not every person loves clearlyTransferring existing libraries to the framework is tedious

### "Perfect software for photo editing."

September 26, 2021

4.0

If you want to do photo editing this is the software to go since using this software is simple and it produces perfect images. Adding to that, it is also effective and efficient.

Pros

First what I like about this software is its non destructive ability. It creates a copy of the edited image while keeping the original image intact. Compared to other alternatives the usability of this software is simple thus anyone can use it easily. It has an intuitive interface thus once the user open he or she knows what to do. Compared to related adobe packages, this software runs smoothly on a computer with lighter processing requirements. Lastly is on its pricing, if you intend to buy the whole package with photoshop it is fair compared to Lightroom itself.

Cons

I really don't have much dislikes about this software since it has majority of features and also the quality of images produced are excellent only that it has limited editing options compared to other related alternatives.

Alternatives considered

My overall experience with Lightroom has been really good and I am already prescribing it among my friends and collegues.

Pros

Adobe Lightroom has an user friendly interface and it allows any beginner to use the software without any prior knowledge or specific training. Importing a file is easier, sharing the file is even more easy. we can also use another person's design from the cloud without having to pay for it

Cons

### "One stop shop!"

October 23, 2022

5.0

Overall, the good far outweighs the negative and Lightroom has become an irreplaceable part of my workflow.

Pros

Lightroom has really grown over the years to become a nearly one stop shop for photo editing needs. Unless you are making drastic alterations to a photo where Photoshop is required, Lightroom can handle a majority of the workflow and also integrates well with organization and has features that allow for the upload to your website via plugins.

Cons

Over the years adobe has moved away from single license pricing to a cloud based subscription model and updates occasionally have bugs that take a bit of time to resolve, especially for Mac products.

Reason for choosing Adobe Lightroom

Better integration, workflows, etc.

### "It's a must"

July 31, 2022

5.0

I can successfully organize my pictures, i can retouch and perfect them with ease, I can go from desktop to mobile and pick up the work and continue - I like this the most.

Pros

If you are a photographer, be that on a professional basis or a hobbyist, you can't expect to create awesome shots with the camera only. A good post-processing software is needed. Lightroom is the "industry standard", every other editor is compared against it, in the features, in organizing tools, sharing features, with Adobe family software integrations

Cons

It's a little annoying, that it needs a little too much resources, cpu and ram. I had to switch hardware because of this. The 20gb cloud space offered in the basic subscription is too little.
