### "Big mistake in choosing Shiftcare"

Extremely disappointing. I run a home care agency and was looking for reliable scheduling and client management software. ShiftCare sold a vision they couldn’t deliver. The product is unstable, support is unreliable, and the company’s integrity is questionable. I would strongly caution other agencies to look elsewhere.

Pros

The only positive was that the sales team seemed eager to help—at least before I paid the deposit. I heard from sales constantly leading up to contract signature. Shocker I know.

Cons

ShiftCare completely overpromised and underdelivered. The onboarding was confusing and poorly supported. They misrepresented having a working public API, and once I raised concerns, their communication dropped off. They even called my personal cell multiple times for payment before onboarding, but once issues appeared, they vanished.

Shiftcare keeps everything together in one space. All of your documents, appointments and billing remains in this one program! Lifesaver for someone that needs help with organization.

Pros

Shiftcare is top of the line if appointment management is your main concern! It is excellent value for money and I have yet to see a reporting of bugs and issues. It makes your schedule, has great security and the best customer support.

Cons

I don’t have any cons to list about Shiftcare. It’s the best for employers with a large team of people to keep track of everything necessary.

### "NDIS Providers need Shiftcare!"

overall, we could not operate without Shiftcare, so very useful. Our rosters are a live and moving document, and Shiftcare can be operated in real time.

Pros

The rostering, billing and staff management are all very good. When you first start out you think you only need the bare minimum of features, however, you quickly realise you need to much more of what is available.

Cons

some different levels of purchased use. Most businesses would need to be able to roster and bill for NDIS and have staff management. Anything to do with those things should be available for two top teers of purchase. Maybe SIL etc should be in the top level purchase.

### "Good but needs some work"

For an expensive product you’d expect more. Dedicated Management App/Client App/Staff App a must!! Then improving the design and correcting all the glitches would go a long way too!!

Pros

Has a lot of scheduling options. Still a bit clunky there are a lot of features inside which could be tweaked which would improve the experience. Also the layout is a little old school. Not as modern as most tech platforms

Cons

NO APP FOR MANAGEMENT. There needs to be a dedicated App for IPhone that allows for simple rescheduling and booking of staff and managing of the business. The App is just focused at a staff level. And there is also no proper communication channel and viewer for clients to see. A strong focus should go towards such as you can tell it’s just a “patch job” that’s been included to make it seem like it has the function. So you really need to design an App for staff, an app for clients and an App for management. Whether it’s seperate apps or within the same, it needs to specific designs around those 3 elements

I wish I had never met this company. Truly the worst business decision of my life. Stay away. You have been warned.

Pros

The UI is pretty good for a home health agency scheduling software and the price was attractive to me

Cons

Everything. But my biggest issue is they over promise in the sales process and tell you they can do everything you want and then when you go live, it’s a complete utter disaster.

A reliable system to manage staff and scheduling for NDIS providers. The customer service is excellent.

Pros

I like that it is not just a timesheet software but also a billing software and record keeping for workers and clients. Customer service on the chat function and availability of people on there is fantastic.

Cons

Integration doesn't work as well as it could - it often drops things off. I still have to download and upload files to ensure integrity. Also, it's got very expensive for small to medium sized businesses.

### "Dont bother with it, its expensive for what it is."

I hate it, im sick of the videos just write the dam instructions down and ill work it out. Im sick of asking for help on the system and trying to steamline a process for it when they keep updating the thing. I get passed around to get answers then when things are set up... another bloody problem, i have to double check and handle it all because of it.

Pros

Able to have staff manage their documentation as well as review it.

Cons

The bloody cost of it, per user when it should just be purchase the software and cya.

Pretty good. The staff are very helpful, the seminars are useful and the help files are easy to access. Thank you!

Pros

Very good support team. Quick and easy to get answers. The permissions are quite easy and set up is good.

Cons

Sometimes the app is a little bit glitchy, but not too bad. The price is a little higher than I would like to pay.

Moderate. The payroll could not be broken down into different time periods so integration into Xero was useless.

Pros

Scheduling was easy. The system interface is easy to use and the helpdesk was very accessible with people who are reachable at all times

Cons

Shiftcare had some privacy breaches as there were teams that could access information from other team teams through incident report etc

From what I have experienced so far, I am still learning, it seems to be good. Response of staff online and through phone check-ups has been great.

Pros

Its easy to find things mostly. Clear displays. Easy attachments. Good phone profile. Good support staff. easy to get quick support

Cons

As the founder, I still occasionally fill shifts. I am unable to have access as a founder and phone access as a staff/support worker. I need to see Shiftcare on my phone also.

### "ShiftCare is a big help "

Overall, ShiftCare is a great tool in streamlining operations and maintain our records.

Pros

Very efficient customer chat support, easy to understand features, quick way to see uploaded documents (no need to download a file to view), reminder feature, etc. We also like that we are able to manage who sees what documents.

Cons

The new forms feature could use some improvements. For instance, we sent out a staff survey and the responses did not come with a summary of all responses which could have been useful to see the most voted responses, and not have to go through each response. Also, for questions with multiple possible choices, the record comes up with no response selected. These were already reported to chat support. It would be great to be able to use keywords when searching for particular messages in the Communication tool especially when we would like to review past messages. Also, for documents, it would be great to be able to have another category like "N/A" and "Pending" aside from "Not Specified". For instance, in Compliance, we added "Visa Documentation", where we upload copies of staff's visa copies. However, not all visa holders have sent in visa copies and other staff are Australian citizens so no visa required, however, for both kinds of staff, their Visa Documentation indicates "not specified". It would be great if we could tick "N/A" for staff who are Australians and "Pending" for visa holders. Lastly, it would be great for office staff to not have to share an account to save on costs.

ShiftCare has streamlined our business operations, reducing admin time and errors significantly. The customer support is excellent, and the frequent updates ensure the platform continues to improve. While some UX and mobile features could use refinement, the overall experience has been positive, and I’d recommend it to others in the support industry.

Pros

ShiftCare offers transparent pricing, flexible user management, and seamless Xero integration. The platform’s responsive customer support and regular improvements through a semi-public roadmap are standout features, making it highly user-friendly and efficient.

Cons

While ShiftCare is a robust platform, there are some areas that need improvement. The lack of a dedicated mobile admin app and a non-responsive website can make it difficult to manage tasks efficiently on the go. Certain UX issues, such as the awkward date picker and limited flexibility in scheduling shifts (e.g., only allowing 15- or 30-minute increments), slow down workflows. Managing recurring shifts could be smoother, as it currently requires excessive clicking through the month picker. There are also inconsistencies, such as the inability to bulk-edit kilometre pricing and the poor handling of split shifts, which don’t reflect correctly in the carer app or timesheets. Additionally, minor but noticeable issues—like formatting errors with Xero integration, the lack of automatic syncing with Xero for staff details, and small bugs in the mobile app—make ShiftCare feel less polished than it could be. Improving these areas would make a big difference in daily usage.

Overall I am very satisfied with ShiftCare. You won't find a single system out there that won't incur feedback with personal preferences and I think overall, ShiftCre has nailed it.Notes and communication is should be easily recorded and separated, for example keep shift notes, incidents and case notes separate.

Pros

Incredibly simple to use, it syncs with accounting systems so well. It has been very easy to use and navigate and very minimal training required to use it. The app is very easy to use also, I love the constant support and information provided by ShiftCare and very rarely are there technical issues if any at all.Some systems over complicate things with their set outs and when there are too many options and functions it makes it overwhelming and that's why I love the simplicity of ShiftCare.I also find the colours great, I can be sensitive to certain colours being too bright or when there are too many colours it can also be overwhelming and I think ShiftCare has found the perfect balance.I love that ShiftCare simplifies everything and does a lot of the work for you. The reporting system is incredibly simple and easy to use as well.

Cons

I love how you can add things to the system like forms ect to work with your in-house documents. It would be great if there was a bulk upload for documents to save time.The schedule when opened should reflect the current week to avoid rostering errors.I also feel that shift care is slightly too expensive for app only users as well.

My office manager sourced the platform as we had outgrown our original one. \[sensitive content hidden\] did a great job with set up and implementation and found the ShiftCare support team really know their product and are very approachable - then she trained me how to use it! I've used the online-chat function and the support could not have been any better.

ShiftCare is a comprehensive platform with great functionality yet still user friendly for both admin and front line staff.

Cons

Our overall experience with shiftcare has been fantastic so far, we love how user friendly it is. We cannot wait to utilise the rest of the features of shiftcare like the integration with xero and invoices .

Pros

I love how shifecare is so user friendly. I love how we can see client profiles with ease and can put so much information in for the client.

Cons

I dont like how our workers have limitations to put in information to the calander and book, amend and repeat shifts.

After having headache after headache with our last software, I finally found Shiftcare and it was the answer to all of our problems! Shiftcare and it's team, were everything that we needed, from customer service excellence to software proficiency! Sometimes we all dread change but this was by far the best change we have had yet! Thank you to the team for making the transition smooth and effortless!

Pros

Shiftcare was by far, the best decision we made! It not only cut my costs to a fraction of the last company but the customer service is amazing and the software is seamless!

Cons

I really have no complaints, and any requests for features I would like, are being worked on by the team! They have been very attentive and understanding!

The other company had less than average customer service. The other company erroneously charged me plus required me to provide them with a card to charge monthly though never providing me with a detailed invoice ahead of time. They would provide one if I asked. The other company charged me per client which became very expensive and when I asked for a lower price, they gave a very small discount per client which did not amount to a reasonable deal. When I discussed all of my concerns the customer satisfaction specialist raised his voice and attempted to argue with me. Honestly, it was a very stressful situation that I am glad to have behind me. Shiftcare is 100% different and better because of it.

My overall experience with shiftcare has been a positive one, where all the work and time is done through this software, I have been able to get back Time to do other important duties in my role in the business. Shiftcare has definitely been a product that has taken a lot of the stress away from day to day duties and would highly recommend this product to all my friends, which I am current doing anyway.

Pros

When training staff how to use this software I liked the fact that I was able to show them on You tube how this product is used where our supports workers can easily clock in and out of shifts, especially having to input various tasks that they needed to complete in order to clock out. the ease of reporting their current movements and care for the client and being able to share any concerns via the shift care app. One other area that was easy was approving our workers time sheets, and adding areas like KM to their travel.

Cons

There is an area that will need improvement and it would be in the incident report, where it just needs NDIS requirements e.g. What happened before the incident? during incident and after incident , and was there anyway they could avoid this incident in the future... Even adding triggers that may have caused this incident.

Reason for choosing ShiftCare

One of the directors who had IT experiance had reccomended we use this product.
