### "Fantastic product with an exciting future"

February 11, 2025

4.0

Excellent. The support received from staff from training & go live to ongoing assistance has been outstanding. Responses are prompt and efficient, if something can't be done there's usually a work around or solution provided.

Pros

iplicit is a modern flexible system with great support. It is cloud based so can be accessed easily from anywhere. It's intuitive to use, transparent and has powerful reporting capabilities. There is a development roadmap which as a user I feel able to influence. Regular system updates are seamlessly deployed alongside monthly user webinars. This user education is really helpful, enabling us to be kept informed of new features as well as maximising existing functionality.

Cons

The stock management module is adequate but I think needs more development. The valuation methods available are Average and Standard, not FIFO. Valuations have to be run at month end rather than being perpetual.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing iplicit

4.0

It was quite a steep learning curve but now that we are into our second year of going live you can start seeing some of the benefits and efficiencies that we have gained from our monthly reporting. The level of detail in the GL opens up a lot of doors for more detailed and accurate analysis. I still feel that there is more that we can do to get more from the system in year 2 as we continue to learn more and what is encouraging is that there is a clear link between the client and the development and customer success teams who are continually working on responding to needs and driving development into the product. I hope this continues as the product becomes a more stablished player in the market and gains additional investment.

Pros

The system offers a lot of functionality that addresses many of the limitations of some of the more basic accounting packages that firms may have started to outgrow, at a reasonable price point. I have seen Iplicit grow in terms of its reputation over the last few years to now compete head to head with some of the more stablished names out there. Yet iplicit still keeps in touch with it's customers, listening to their needs and you can see these being put through development into future updates in real time.

Cons

There are still some features in the product that need some further development and the support platform is being addressed but there are often gaps that need more support tickets raised. I have been unable to get the GL view to manipulate in quite the way i would like but there are options to work around this with the excel add-in and enquiries, although some of these still need some work. I also don't like the pricing structure with the bank feeds which means we cannot get the full level of functionality that we would like without paying a monthly charge on each and every bank account. I felt like the implementation stage, including limited resource from the technical team, which could have made things smoother and better tailored to our business, that said most aspects can be fixed and addressed at a later stage.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing iplicit

The price point and that I felt like if there were issues there was a clear link to development. I also bought into the vision for the product and the niche in which it was looking to expand in the market.

Complexity of the business structure and intercompany. Lack of audit trails and reporting without bulky ODBC links being used. Simplicity of the GL to provide further analysis.

### "Durham SU Iplicit experience"

April 14, 2025

4.0

I think its been 95% really good - as the project lead, I'd been very nervous about going live when I was scheduled to go on holiday, and leaving my colleagues to deal with it - I was persuaded by Iplicit my fears were unfounded (and that they would hold the hands of the finance team in my absence), went on holiday, and came back to a fully functioning system. Its a developing system, so am sure it'll only get better.

Pros

The automation, the time saved, and workflows- its cloud based, so no more worrying about losing connection to servers when working remotely. The training and set up were highly professional, and we we went live on the day planned with no significant issues - I've never had that before.

Cons

Like many systems, it has facility to import data into spreadsheets, and update them- and for live data this works really well- the disappointment is that although its very possible to put budget data into Iplicit, you cant yet link it to spreadsheets alongside the live data.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing iplicit

IRIS because it wasnt as good, Sage 200 because they seemed rather disinterested, and it probably wasnt as good, and Access was a close contender - we could have gone there (it has Student Expenses integration) but we felt more comfortable in the Iplicit relationship and their ability to get us running.

### "An amazing innovative software"

July 17, 2025

5.0

Overall, Iplicit is a great software in the making! It has many useful functions and allows you to customize your experience.

Pros

Iplicit makes it particularly easy to manage multiple entities, with a number of additional features such as the excel add in which just give a lot more freedom to create reports without constantly updating various databases.

Cons

Iplicit doesn't allow for making changes easily once things have been reconciled. You can change basics such as periods, but it should be much easier to change nominal codes or to correct bank transactions once reconciled.

### "Highly customisable and excellent range of features"

April 10, 2025

4.0

Overall I am really happy with iPLICIT, it did take a while for the customised reporting Budget vs Actual section to get it working as per our needs, and we are still redefining our processes with the help of the iPLICIT team

Pros

I really like the prepayment and deferred income option when recording purchase and sale invoices, it is very easy to use. The implementation team were very knowledgeable and managed to delivered our requirements which were a bit complex. I also like the help section, I have set up a couple of features just by following the instructions.

Cons

We have had negative feedback from users when creating their expense claims using the mobile app, finding difficult to navigate all screens and selecting the correct fields when the visibility is restricted to the small mobile screen.

### "Happy Iplicit User "

May 9, 2025

4.0

It took a while for the budgets to work as we needed and we are trying to get ap automation working fully for us. I beleive it does help us with month end and picking up any miscoding/errors etc a bit more easily. It has definitely helped us with efficiency

Pros

I really find the easy access on the web, easy log check very helpful. I also find the bulk payment process very helpful and user friendly to adjust and view as you need. Th ease of exporting into excel to view things as well. I like the Trial balance and P&L view as well, find it very helpful.

Cons

Sometimes there seems to be a lot of drop down options to add etc when you are trying to post things which can take time. It would also be good to be able to adjust prepayments/deferrals if there has been an error picked up as such. Also it took a while for the workflow to work with our respective budget holders as needed.

We have been using Iplicit since January 2021 and have not looked back. It is a great product and backed up by a very supportive network where customer's are valued and listened too.

Pros

It is a reliable and flexible product with the options to have multi entities and different base currencies

Cons

### "Excellent Accounting Software"

April 2, 2025

5.0

Excellent product - Very impressed with their customer service and implementation team.

Pros

We have changed our accounting software about 7 months ago. It has been a massive change, coming from an almost all excel templates and a very manual process to a most innovative and easy to use software. The programme in itself is very good, user friendly but what impressed me the most is their customer service. During the implementation process the people involved from Iplicit were very diligent and helpful. We use Iplicit on a daily basis and it has really improved the quality of our work and reduced the amount of hours for almost if not all our processes.

Cons

I only wish that the training videos were shared with us from the beginning of the process as it would have facilitate some of the works we had to do while migrating from one program to the other.

### "Cannot recommend Iplicit enough. Have not looked back since leaving Sage. "

January 11, 2025

5.0

I cannot fault the experience with Iplicit. Anyone using Sage (expecially 200) should contact them and see what they can do

Pros

It's easy of use, speed, features, support, fantastic implementaion and training.

Cons

### "iPlicit Review"

November 14, 2024

4.0

Overall the experience with iPlicit has been very successful. If you currently support / develop or manage a legacy bespoke accounting system then certainly look to iPlicit as the platform for your migration.

Pros

Although not a user of all the financial aspects the migration from an on-premise legacy system was made relativley straightforward by the support and assistance from the project teams. Bespoke elements of the on premise system were developed and reflected in iPlicit making the transition pretty painless. All the feedback I have heard from the finance teams using it has all been positive.

Cons

The expense module isn't very user friendly but neither was the previous supplier so maybe it isn't something that is as important as other financial processes.

Can't fault Iplicit, on the whole a great product that I would highly recommend

Pros

Its ease of use, a massive help with time saving through automation. Great customer service and quick problem solvers through a great helpdesk.

Cons

### "Iplicit review"

October 14, 2021

5.0

The team at Iplicit are honest, passionate and great to work with. Once the quick implementation was completed we got our stunning, easy to use program that we'd spent a few years trying to find.

Pros

It's packed full of features that make bookkeeping, account preparation and reporting an enjoyable breeze. A key requirement for us was integration, Iplicit has a comprehensive tech spec with many integration options and the API links seamlessly with our in-house developed software.

Cons

The budget/forecasting needs further development to simplify, this is on their development roadmap. In the end we used their excel link to achieve this.

Reason for choosing iplicit

None were as flexible as Iplicit and had fundamental flaws that meant we would have to change our practices around the software. Iplicit could shape around our needs, it matched our requirements in full and now provides us with rich, powerful features.

### "Positive Change "

September 27, 2021

5.0

The support team are so easy to deal with, always available to help if any problems arise & no question is too big or small. They feel like an extended part of the company. If we have requested something which is not already available, it is great to know, it is on the up and coming list from Iplicit.

Pros

The ease of use from the moment it went live in Jan-20 was effortless. The ease of migration was fantastic. The links to new developments and changes which are made on Iplicit are readily available for the team to learn. Information is shared and easily accessible. Real time reporting is a fantastic business tool for our sales team & Financial reporting is just a click away from Excel, its brilliant.

Cons

With no reflection on Iplicit, it is other desktop software that find it challenging to keep up the seamless updates which are running in the background.

Pros

Cons

### "Excellent System"

March 10, 2025

5.0

Excellent, Iplicit does the things we hoped it would and I would very much recommend it to anyone. The ease of doing things like VAT returns are massively different from our previous system and we will continue to realise the system benefits for a long time to come.

Pros

Iplicit is not a difficult system to use. The way it is built allows it to be tailored to the needs of the business and it works really well. Everything that was sold to us in terms of the way it would work is the reality we experience in using the system.

Cons

It can be inflexible when looking at the approval process. This does not necessarily make it bad, but it is something that you must think about when processing invoices if you do not use purchase orders.

### "Supportive, innovative, highly recommended"

November 19, 2024

5.0

We have had a very positive experience with iplicit. There were some teething problems along the way as we needed more than a 'straight out of the box' solution, but we have all worked together to come up with something that we now use daily. No doubt there will be more improvements as we continue to work with this exciting company. It has made our day to day processing so much more efficient and transparent.

Pros

The system is very logical and user friendly once you know how. The support team are speedy and helpful and the development team take on board suggestions and are always looking for ways to improve functionality.

Cons

Our system needed some complex, bespoke elements and the dev team created some great custom attributes and reports. Unfortunately, these are not always compatible with some hard wired functions but, iplicit are always coming up with new ideas and work arounds.
