Pros Quillbot is a great and very useful platform for paraphrasing and summarising content. It also corrects the grammatical mistakes and checks whether the content you have provided is written by AI or not. It has helped me to do various projects while maintaining the professionalism level of writing. Cons The free version of Quillbot limits the words to only 125 words for paraphrasing and sometimes it uses very heavy and fancy synonyms which are rarely used by a layman, increasing the chances of plagiarism. June 6, 2026 4.0 For those who deal with documents frequently and in detail, QuillBot is a decent tool. It’s a major timesaver for proofreading and makes editing quicker. However, there are some things that do take some experimentation to learn about and to get right to play the way we need in our school. It could be even more useful for primary or secondary school administrators with a few modifications of the customization features. Pros I have used QuillBot for memos, newsletters, even in the classroom and it's been fantastic. I am one of those who have to deal with a lot of written communication and I really like how it corrects grammar and punctuation without altering the tone of the message. Proofreading is much faster, and the rephrasing feature is a godsend when I need to make content more digestible to younger people and/or parents without sacrificing its meaning. Cons Sometimes it fails to catch subtle mistakes, such as subject/verb verb agreement in more complex sentences. There have also been times when the rephrased copy seems a bit mechanical and it may not be in the style of the conversation we want to have in our schools communications. I start by trying the free account and am now has subscribed to their services. I can adjust the synonyms level and how many words I want to change on the article so it won't be too different in context from the original article. Cons QuillBot has introduced the new plagiarism checker, but until now, I can't try it as the webpage keep loading and starting the tools. The limitation on the plagiarism checker only for 20 pages per month, even for a premium user, is too little, and we had to pay more to increase the number. It gives you options for how you want to rewrite your paragraph. This tool paraphrases perfectly and naturally. With the Premium, this even shortens the long paragraph and gives the summery. At the moment, they have also added more tools, such as a grammar checker, a plagiarism checker, and so on, which is great. With the co-writer tool, it's easy to write something online. Cons It sometimes goes out of the context. When we paraphrase at max level It changes the meaning of the sentence which is very hard to detect and rectify while paraphrasing large text files.
