It can be programmed to fit the specific needs of the charting being done on my unit. I like that it is intuitive once you understand how to use it. Cons In my use of this program it has shown to have a lot of glitches that don’t get addressed unless many complaints are submitted. Usually when I use this program during a work shift it needs to be restarted once or twice because it will freeze or glitch and stop working. Review Source LF Logan F. Pulling up all labs are so easy to review. Discharge summaries are easily found for a provider to review, along with imaging. Cons Only con is on an image the normal print button doesnt work. This will provide for continuity of care which will benefit our patients. Pros My favorite component of this software is my ability to piece together a consult note. Having sections of the history that automatically transfer into my note saves me a decent amount of time. Cons Entering sets of orders or power plans does not flow well. When I order procedures, it does not allow me to specify what day the procedure will be done. This is problematic since I order same day and next day procedures. We just implimented this software for our company about a year ago. Cons It's somewhat difficult to learn the program, some glitches here and there. Alot of down-time for updates. No frills but gets the job done Cons Honestly, I don't know if this is specific to Cerner, but there is a quite a bit of a learning curve that did slow clinic flow until I got comfortable with the software. I really didn’t hear any complaints from the providers. Pros The interface is clean, simple, and streamlined. Our providers were able to learn the new system quickly. Cons I have to say that I never heard any negative comments from our providers about PowerChart. Providers are usually quick to complain about something they don’t like. Review Source RD Robert D. This is a common enough EHR to be encountered by many doctors, but probably one of the least user-friendly ones. Pros This EHR has tons of features, provided you can navigate through them. The end product (a patient chart) is easy to read and very detailed. Cons Very steep learning curve, and not user-friendly at all. Multiple confusing steps required to complete each entry. The integration with Dragon is great too. Cons Some excessive clicks such as having to continually refresh the screen. I love that I can see a trend in vital signs, look at the patients labs, demographic information, and providers orders easily amongst a vast number of other things.
